Whether they have been here or not is open to opinion. If they have the ability to travel half way across the universe they could easily observe us without us knowing. Also all the silly sci-fi films that see us battling aliens are a joke.
If they were friendly they would leave us alone & if they were aggressive they could wipe us out in the blink of an eye without us even knowing about it.

Or may be they're like feral cats who don't give a Fekk whether we/our planet exist or not! They probably just blank us and fly over us in their far superior aircrafts, as they have better things to do than do anything with/to us- good or bad. Perhaps they just leave us to bang our heads against one another.

Was watching Discivery science a while back . Apparently. evidence is growing in the scientific community. that all the building blocks of life , oxygen, water and the rest of the concoction came to this planet in its infancy , so in a way , we are all aliens .

Well, yeah! Some are more alien then others, though.

It is not in itself for or anti anything
A scientific theory will (and has/does) change when better evidence/data comes along
Science NEVER claims to have all the answers, only an idiot would suggest otherwise
Ps a scientific "theory" has a specific meaning

Yes, I was just hammering home the point. As disparaging as it may sound, I find that there's a dearth of wisdom in ungodliness; this notion that because we are beginning to understand creation we can somehow do without Him. We want to be God and it brings in to stark relief the story of the tree of knowledge.

Not sure what you think science is, but it in reality it is pretty agnostic, it simply build theories based on (falsifiable/testable) evidence

We'd need to use the Earth's entire resources to get to our "2nd" nearest star and it would take 4,000 years at our current top speeds.
UFO's (other world crafts) exist but short of suddenly evolving near by they won't ever visit us.
...and no, using black holes is like jumping over a wave to get across the ocean.

In earth's history there has never been an example of an invading race treating the natives with anything approaching respect. I am sure an alien arrival would similarly prove very detrimental to human existence so, if they exist, I hope aliens go and land somewhere else.
