Oh OK.

Just to confirm, putting 30mm lowering springs on my standard shocks wont affect anything?

Nope, although you will have to get the camber and tracking reset after you fit the springs. That's all. Won't cause rubbing or any other issues.

I wouldnt do it on the original shocks. Although 30mm is a reletively short drop so you i't wont be terrible, but your shocks are old and worn now, and therefore the ride may become somewhat bouncy and crashy.

I agree about the coilovers, unless you get a top notch kit, they are more uncomfortable, however getting a set with rebound adjustment and rubber pillow mounts (its mor common to have metal to metal with coilovers which is rubbish on the road) will improve things massively.

Ideally you want JDM STI pink shocks, with a good 30mm drop spring kit if you want to go down that route.

Id do that first before painting wheels as your just bringing so much attention to an area that already looks odd with the ride height

Yeah I agree, I've done it before the other way around with a car and it made it look ridiculous.

Lowering will be next, I'd be happy to buy a shock and spring set like peddlers but they are only for WRX. Can't see to find anywhere that sells them as a set.

You were wondering what they would look like in bronze?
