My point exactly, on the job training gives experience that can't be tought in a classroom, theory is all well and good but there is no substitute for experience, something which prospective employers appreciate, often illustrated in job adverts, "experience preferred"

The same problems occur today as they did in my day, it's the chicken and egg situation in that how is one to gain experience if no one will give them a job without any.

Well, my eldest having done ten years as a welder/plater, working here and in Holland, is now at Uni doing a degree in Mech Eng.

I reckon his time at the bottom will make him a better engineer.

The only worrying thing is if there'll be any jobs for him when he finishes in 2017.
I suppose he could go abroad too.

Chemistry degree?

Hm, how about him breaking bad, Alcazar?

Only joking! I mean no offence whatsoever, so pardon me, please!

Because no Anglo Saxon English folk have ever 'organised pedio' before right.

Does anyone remember that film made around 25 -30 years ago when conditions in Africa deteriorated so a lot of people from that continent started moving northwards and landing on the shores of Spain and southern Europe - kind of prophetic.

How many hand car washes do you know are manned by "indigenous (sp) people"?
A lot of hospital domestic staff are not "traditional English people"
What about a lot of doctors and nurses are not originally from this country - My cancer consultant is German, a lot of the Cancer nurses I have come into contact with have been European and African by birth and they have all been brilliant.

Yet on the other hand an "Immigrant" tried to steal my wife's mobile phone the other day...............There is good and bad whether they are from England, Europe, Africa et al..............If you are here illegally - then please leave - if not you are welcome if you abide by the laws of the land, pay your taxes and be courteous.

Nice timing for the election and will be interesting to see what certain parties say about it if anything.

Pro-immigration poster campaign launches across the UK

A good thing in my book
Typically biased and misleading propaganda.

Where is the poster with the cabbage picker?
Or the other (often below) minimum wage workers?

Who would object to skilled workers of any ethnicity and have a sound basis for doing so?

The problem is unskilled low-paid labour. This type of labour is totally unnecessary whilst we do not have full employment. Paying for some useless piece of cr@p to sit on his **** in Wisbech whilst a Lithuanian stands in a field trimming veg on his behalf is not good economics.

There are jobs in this town that school leavers would kill to have.

Sadly, they are being done by eastern europeans.

Thanks, Lying Labour.
