The 201 needs a fantastic write up doing along with some really well taken pictures, it needs taking somewhere scenic or somewhere special. It then wants putting on places like car and classic, piston heads etc. Just be sure to stress how special the car is and why it was built.
Rare outlandish cars like this do appeal to some people, you've just got to find where these people are. But I can assure you they ain't on snet or trawling through eBay

Car was all done, mapped up and running well. But developed a couple of minor oil leaks so I pulled the engine back out to sort them. It's back in now but having some clutch fork issues at the moment.

Its been on pistonheads 3 months in a row but no sale. I might put it up again. I see what you mean about the advert and thanks for the advice. When i get a chance il take it somewhere nice and take fresh pictures and do a proper write up.

Remember seeing this car at garage dku when it was first imported, the car was mint and as you say was kept as a display model for years by Maj the owner.
Pretty sure it was magazine featured by Japenese Performance if I remember correctly, Might be worth posting up if you have it.

Im so shocked ive had not a smidgen of interest in the car bar 3 complete and utter time wasters. Its been for sale a while now and tbh will let it go at a good price to an interested party.
Must be my luck, i had a evo 5 couple of years ago, excellent example and it just wouldnt sell. I couldnt stress enough how clean it was on the mlr forum but no joy. In the end an american guy came and bought it. He later swapped it for a r32 gtr. Funny enough it ended back on the forum by the new owner who was chuffed to bits with it and was showing the forum his new toy. I got talking to him and he told me he swaped it to sell on but when he got it onto a ramp and saw how clean it was he decided to keep it.
The only reason im selling the S201 is coz i got too much money in it and could do with the money.

It's just such a niche car mate, I think that's where the issue is. As said by somebody else, how many people would actually drive it around? Even as an enthusiast who knows how good the car is, I wouldent drive it because I'd be embarrassed, it's just hideous (obviously no offence to you meant.....it's how the good Lord Subaru made it lol). It's perfect to go into somebody's collection and taken to shows etc, but those folk are few and far between.
