I think the WRX STi gets only 3 years or 60,000 miles warranty.
All the other Subarus get indeed 5 years

I'll ask my dealer and let you know.
Were they scratched when you got it? You can ask your dealer as well :-)

Yes thats what i got, so i'm surprised they didn't offer it to you as well, interesting, very interesting, the plot thickens

Its a warranty they put together with another company, so not from subaru directly, although it mirrors the subaru warranty to the letter.

Aha! That expalins it then
I should talk to them and may ask for the 2 extra years, when the official 3-year Subaru warranty runs out Besides, my car is not remapped

Thanks for pointing this out

Not surprising then if true. Crazy to spend all that money and then run it on cheap petrol.

Did you pay for the 2 extra years? Or was it part of the remapping plan?

where do you go for your oil change and service?
I am thinking of scoobyclinic (what about the warranty?) or the dealer where I bought it from.
I have even bought a service book from ebay, as I don't like this "key registration service" only; I like everything to be documented on paper!

Will you get this done at Mangoletsi, in order to keep the 5-year warranty?

As I work as a Technician for a Subaru dealer, I do it myself. Create a Job card Labour FOC and charge myself parts at cost. Print out the invoice, one copy for me, One copy for work. Add the service to the database. job done

I have all of my invoices in a folder inc the car invoice and accessories in date order.

I see
Thanks for the replies rob and bioforger.
I think I might just get the oil and oil filter changed at 5000 miles anyway, just to keep the turbo freshly lubricated. By the end of Saturday, car will have 2000 miles, so I'll have the chance to meet some of you at the NBO in June and chat about these more!
