Clarkson has been sacked
Every November a DVD will be released with May, Hammond and Clarkson all out on an "adventure" of some kind in some remote place in some cheap old bangers. It will be top gear called something else.
The actual top gear will die a death.
That said, It's all still rumours, i'd be very suprised if the BBC had sacked him. Perhaps he should have bummed some kids to make sure he kept his job instead.

It's offical, he's gone http://news.sky.com/story/1452410/je...-bbcs-top-gear
"I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion. A member of staff - who is a completely innocent party - took himself to Accident and Emergency after a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature."
I don't feel sorry for him, that is beyond doing somethng silly, especially over food!

I am sure Clarkson (and by extension the other two) will be sad he has been fired from BBC as they all clearly enjoy working there. However, I am sure his accountant has already called him to congratulate him.
I think it can carry on without any of them, the question is who would they get who would gel together as well and keep it as entertaining?
The notion that Top Gear is undoable without them is, IMO, ridiculous, but I do think it will be very difficult for the Beeb to get right.
And if not, just watch them all on Dave, the UK does love a good repeat!

Apparently not, they appear to have visited a drinking establishment together and settled their differences, and Piers has written an article that seems to show some support for Jezza.
On another note, the press release I heard on the radio earlier stated that they [the beeb] were "not renewing his contract" so technically he hasn't been sacked.
Maybe they got wind that Jeremy was going to sue on grounds of wrongful dismissal (reported in the press), although I think he will be on the war path about the Saville comments.

I'd like to see him try that if he had hit someone. Apart from being an immediate dismissal for most firms, it is also a criminal offence! The North Yorks Police have asked for details, and have said they will take action if necessary.
Edit: scratch that, they have, for some reason, put up the article he wrote when he left topgear the first time, in 1999.
