Yes it will be interesting Glenn, it shouldn't be massively different but hopefully it should make a difference for the good.

I've had the car remapped by Bob and I'm very happy with the outcome, it made 332bhp (from around 280bhp on the factory map on 102RON fuel) and 398lbs/ft of torque.

Bob did say that due to the high ambient temperatures on a colder day it would have probably made around another 15bhp and more torque as well.

The way that the car now accelerates is like night and day compared to how it was on the factory map, Bob also commented that the torque is impressive as it makes 350lbs/ft by 3000rpm and it holds boost very well and it's still climbing and then flattens off where other cars would be already be falling off.

I'd yet again highly recommend Bob to anyone thinking of a remap or map tweak, he can be hard to get hold of but the results are worth the wait.

Once I have the dyno plot I'll post it up.

Really enjoyed yesterday Ty, found the mapping sessions very interesting seeing Bob at work. There was a noticeable difference with mine that I felt on the road while he was working his magic, however the Forester is a different car now for sure.

Well done boys, money well spent and worth the travel down to him.

Always a nice drive back after a mapping session it's like driving a new car!

Yes Jay, he's done a cracking job on both our cars - at least they are both safely mapped now and more than ready to handle what we throw at them.

Yes the drive back is always far better than the drive up, I've just got to be careful now as the car drives so differently and the acceleration allows you to get up to licence losing speeds very quickly.

I now have my road dyno plot from Bob, as you can see the car develops a lot of torque from a relatively low engine speed.

The car feels great on the road and it feels like a totally different beast to when it was on the factory map.

It's looking highly likely that I'm going to put the car up for sale at the weekend, there's nothing at all wrong with the car but I'm feeling the need for a change - possibly sporting a blue oval or even hailing from Stuttgart.

The above pics were taken at the Colin McRae weekend event last Sunday, she's a great car and so much more practical than any Impreza model.

But if it doesn't sell then I'm not going to disappointed either.

Ty, it's certainly a lovely car made even better after the mapping session with Bob Rawle. I really don't think it'll hang around long. Before you make any decisions you need a ride in the blue oval first.
By the way, that white Subaru parked next to the fozzy don't look to shabby either!

Tyron, are you missing something that you can't find in any car or just fancy a change?

Go for it Tyron, just don't buy another Subaru as clearly you have had your fill.

If you buy a 911 I'm not speaking to you ever again lol

I don't suppose they do Rich, easy payments available pay the full price less £12 which you can pay off over 12 months.

I do need to take a very long extended test drive in your car, say a couple of weeks?

You are correct the other white Subaru in shot isn't too bad is it?

I don't think so Fivos, I just really fancy a change and I have always wanted certain cars and before the values rocket on either marque now is the right time to get one.

If I do go down the 911 route then it will have to be a 996 or 997, I do want a wide bodied car with a factory fitted GT3 kit - all show and some go I think about covers it.

I might also be tempted by a Cayman which I think is a really underrated car.

I was thinking of a Rover 25, but that might just be too much of a handful for me.

You know me too well Ken, being serious I just really fancy a change - as you know I have a low boredom threshold.

Panther black Transit Custom you want boy Bach, stacks of room for golf clubs, tools, volvo parts, and most importantly sheep. Reverse sensors to stop you hitting trees on the hills, 3 seats up front for driver, sheep 🐑 and mistress, clever hands free and stereo system, and also doubles up as a "private ambulance" if work goes quiet. Oh and 125 horses no slouch and 290 horses possible with a single remap and a wet dream.
You know you want too...

Sounds ideal Rob, sign me up for one.

They do go well those Transit Custom vans, they are always in the outside lane of the M4 pushing the traffic along.

At least you got to finish the plans on this one,

Shame to see it go as it's a cracker but onwards and upwards ty.

Ps, what fuel pump did you go for?

There is that good point to consider, I went for an Aeromotive / RCM / Torques 340LPH fuel pump as they're all made by the same manufacturer.

She is a cracker and even better since Bob Rawle worked his magic on the recent remapping session.
