There's a difference between pointing out someone's strange change in character to personal insults about appearance and physique.
It was completely OTT and totally unnecessary.
I'm happy to move on but I won't forget.

Yeah, easy on the insults, Matteboy is entitled to his opinion even if that involves insulting Apple Watch wearing people, because they don't count.

If the apple watch had been waterproof I may have been tempted but I MTB in the rain, run with the wife get wet, knowing I have to keep eyes on the watch all the time would **** me right off.
I know it's showerproof but I need waterproof... Nice things don't get me wrong I just need to await for the Apple Watch S lol

However Jack seems to be fine taking the risk and clearly hasn't noticed how many iPhones die from water damage (including one of mine).
You take a water damaged 50/100/200m "waterPROOF" watch to a manufacturer then it's clearly not done it's job. You take a water RESISTANT with water damage and they'll laugh at you.

Saying that if you wear it 24/7 it's not really for you as it does need charging.

Water resistance 50 m (according to ISO 6425)
And this is the Ambit 2 HR, which comes with a silly band thing you have to wear to get your heart rate, my 10 year old Suunto had the same.

How can you comment on the Apple Watch when you don't even know what's on your wrist. You've been riding your bike underwater for too long mate.

No, quick TRX workout for my shoulders this morning already, 10 mile cycle later and 10,000 steps should do it. It adjusts to suit your level of fitness very well, moving your goals out little by little. Fantastic.

Water resistant, just like the Apple Watch. Fact.

You are actually insane aren't you?
From APPLE THEMSELVES;
Apple Watch is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Apple Watch during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands, but submerging Apple Watch is not recommended. Apple Watch has a water resistance rating of IPX7 under IEC standard 60529. The leather bands are not water resistant."
IPX7 means that the Apple Watch will be able to withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. In real terms, this means a shower, being out in the rain, or washing your hands, but not activities such as swimming or lounging in hot tubs.
Now mine is:
Water Resistant 10 ATM or 100m - Suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.
You'll STILL try and dispute it but the fact is, yours is useless for sport just like that article said.
It's just an expensive trinket for fashion victims. That is all.

The 50 meter Water RESISTANT was your old school watch and you still don't know what you have on your wrist even after I provided a link. You really should have left this thread pages ago, you came in all shouty and silly and just keep looking worse and worse.
I see you've skipped over the Heart Rate point, did you forget having to put a band around your chest? Not easy when it probably takes 2 people with a chest like yours from all that underwater cycling.
I'd suggest clicking a few links and getting out of this thread before you fall down the idiot hole with Jon and DP

See that 100m writing? See it's made in Finland rather than China.
The heart rate point? Which one? The one about mine working all the time even when swimming compared to yours that just doesn't really work?
How about the tech radar article; you dismis it just because it's a few months old?
You are actually demented.

No, I don't give any credence to an article that was written before the author had even held an Apple Watch, if that's demented then you're down the rabbit hole.
And as for your China quip, this is Suunto "Although most of the sport watches are made in Finland, some of the products are made in China by another manufacturer."
I used to wonder why people on here thought you were a ******, I'm getting the gist of it now.

It's nice winning things but I am fairly sure you'll never experience it.
Just had two nights in a very smart apartment right on the beach; champagne on arrival, flowers etc for no cost; all for winning a surf comp. Spent it with my lovely wife (kids stayed at home with grandparents) who is also a pretty nifty surfer, superb horse rider, ex county runner and hockey player, high level rower and in stunning shape.
That must REALLY hurt.
I'm off to run much faster than you along stunning coastline
Jack let me get this right; Suunto MAKE UP their waterproof ratings but Apple UNDERSTATES them?
And despite saying it's made in Finland, it was actually made in China?
And despite the fact that I'm holding a heart rate monitor in my hand and despite my model being called an Ambit 2 HR (for HEART RATE), I haven't actually got an HRM?
Hahahahahaaa!!!
