Of course, scaled down, it's possible this technology (issues of survivability, navigation and actual possibility) this could lead to significantly faster travel than we have now, making travelling around the solar system alot easier, but the stars are still a pipe dream.
Personally, I would love to think that the galaxy is awash with races travelling around using some sort of exotic technology, it just seems a bit unlikely.

I don't know if this is true but
Apparently the space shuttle when it was operational had to have several aborted launches on the pad .. Yes the media & official excuse was technical glitches ,, but if you dig deep enough you find the story about "orbs" circling the orbiter on the pad .
Maybe it was static ?
Maybe it was ball lightning caused by the ignition process ?
Maybe we as a race were been " probed "
Who knows , but NASA created a secret file on the subject titled
" project Blue Beam"
Details & obtaining info on this is very limited & above top secret .....
Any thoughts on this

Just check out our own human history down the years. There has not been a single recorded incident of a superior 'race' arriving and affording the locals equal rights. The Spanish and various others in south america who managed to wipe out entire civilisations, the Red Indians who all but suffered the same fate, the Brits who marched about all over the world subjugating whole populations - the list goes on.
Were an alien race to arrive on earth, their superiority defined by their arrival, we'd be doomed to slavery at best. If they were already here we'd know all about it. Let's hope we get to them before they come to us.

Do you not realise that the vast majority of people on this planet are in fact Slaves?
Read Winnie Lynches speech that he gave on the James River back in the days of African slavery, then have a think about it and tell me it's not just been extended and tweaked over the past couple of centuries to include all man kind.
I have posted it before but I'm not sure that people get it.

In the greater scheme of time and the Universe it is but a nano second since we humans discovered fire, were adamant the World was flat and burning witches at the stake.
As I sit here in Croatia some 1000 miles away from the UK, a distance that would have taken years to walk, let alone ride on the back of some beast I had managed to tame, my thoughts on the subject are beamed across that distance in less than a second for all and sundry to read.
Who would have thought that possible as little as 200yrs ago
We are so wrapped up in our own existence, constrained by what we understand based upon what we can prove using what we know to be provable within our own set parameters, it's no wonder we struggle to move forward.
Only when intelligence stops being defined by memory, looking to the past and what is already known or at least perceived to be "Known" within set parameters, will the truly intelligent amongst us come to the fore.
"The truth is out there" we just need to open our minds to all possibilities.

Project blue beam is a totally separate conspiracy theory ... Yea had a quick look on the net this morn seems pretty far out & wacky !!!
As for the space shuttle orb related incidents , this was years back someone told me over a cigarette & cup of coffee, I didn't believe but was shown a video , it looked pretty real , & technology was a little less tech back then so I don't think it was fake ...
Everything has a answer . I dont believe it was aliens as such , but fascinated as I loved looking at the orbiter at launch ,, ball lightning from electrical conduction or static charge is prob the most likely conclusion ...

By the end of the htread, there seems to be a fairly good consensus that the alien 'orbs' are in fact condensation as they all appear simultaneously and then melt away!
As for the second video, it shows something that you cannot say what it is, but that is a whole different thing from it being something sinister.
After all, that's just what a UFO is..........
