My understanding of the add was the car would come with a warranty but if you wanted it without the bodywork rectified it would be cheaper.
I don't see what all the fuss and slagging people off is about. Every car dealership I have ever been to will knock money off for poor paint etc if they don't have to rectify it them self's.

 

All the comments where they are confused over what the original add said come from Somerset.

Either they are all mates, or just a bit thick.

Well then that's a half arsed way to sell a car. Just get all the jobs done and then sell it.

 

Just gives a prospective owner a choice I suppose.

 

It says in the listing no warranty given or implied, and the new owner will be asked to sign as such for this, don't see where you read it would come with warranty, despite what the seller has said on here.

 

There were two adverts. Think that's where it's got a bit confusing.

Is there not some new ebay t & c's that mean people have up to six months to open a dispute now rendering a warranty (or lack of) less of a necessity, or is that not applicable to car sales?

 

Thats PayPal mate. So if you paid with Paypal, theoretically, yes.

Six month dispute/return policy, in essence, buy something, use it, then you can 'return' it six months later saying its faulty. PayPal most of the time sides with buyer.

 

Blimey, wonder how many sellers will stop accepting payment by PayPal (if they are allowed to) because of this.

 

Not allowed too, you HAVE to accept PayPal to sell on eBay as a form of payment, in the terms and conditions.

Its screwing people over big time, and will do so more in the future when all the scum pick up on it.

A friend of mine received back his iphone 5 he sold four months ago the other day, obviously used and battered - excuse to Paypal - didnt work and apparently he went to prison for a few months so didnt get chance to return it! PayPal refunded him out my friends bank account.
