Is he a muzzie?
My girlfriend's Nigerian workmate don't have any muzzies in her family anymore due to not knowing whether or not they could harbour boko haram sympathies
In reality I suspect poverty has a lot to do with it
Apart from that father which voulteered his 10 year old daughter to them to use as a suicide bomber

How ever telling some one in what they should and shouldn't believe is just about as prejudice as hating some one for there ethnic back ground.
I appreciate the fact everyone has a right to speak there mind. But everyone's entitled to the own opinion as well.
The key is to respect that freedom and choice

No one is actually a racist, its just cultural differences. Obviously there is racism in the world ,and the UK but I've never knowingly met one.
I've seen acts of racial slurs (both/all ways) etc but then people will call others names, people will always try and find a persons pressure points/buttons and give them a push.
Plus, can we stop using the word white. I get very offended, I'm not white, I'm pinky creamy kinda colour, until i get my swimwear on in summer that is.

Well since we are all sucking each other's ***** saying how great we all are, allow me to inject some honesty...
IMO We are all racists, every one in the world. The amount we are racist varies of course, but no-one can truly say they make absolutely zero judgement about someone when they see them/hear them.
Do I distrust certain sections of society? Yes. It may be through their reputation (deserved or not) or my own experience of such kinds of people. Are these sections non-British/non-white? Some are yes, others are white.
If I were to walk down the street in Tower Hamlets, do I think everyone I see there is a British-loving productive citizen? No. But then the same can be said if I were to walk through some rough white estates.

It's human nature to be suspicious, in fact more than that, it's ingrained in all of nature.
It's the same part of your brain that makes you wonder if the person following you on a dark night is a good person or not that also makes us wounder if "those" people that look different, and dress different and talk different are OK.
People find comfort with familiarity, and so they should, better the devil you know and all.

I dislike most somalians and gypsies intensely, a massive proportion of them are total scum and have no place in a civilised society. There is an entire area in my town that has become a somalian getto, 16 year old was raped there yesterday. It is not safe for any woman to walk alone there day or night unless you think you can outrun gangs of Somalian men.

However it's not appropriate (IMO) to paint everyone as a racist. There are some who are absolutely not judgemental, but most are by degrees but perhaps for various reasons not necessarily related to physical appearance or religious belief.
For me personally, if someone chooses to make their home in England, I have to assume they make that choice based on the values and standards that have been adopted by the indigenous people of the UK.
It boils my pi55 when people say they want to live here and then want changes and concessions to allow them to live in the style and manner they did when they lived in their 'homeland'. Just try emigrating to somewhere like the USA and starting a campaign to rename 'sidewalks' as 'pavements' and see how you get on!
If you like the UK enough to want to make it your home, then like it for what it is, not for what you think you can make it.
If that statement reveals me as some kind of closet racist then so be it.
I prefer to view it as pro-British rather than anti-immigrant.

Wishing that everyone got along jolly nicely, and living with a more honest reality is something everyone has to rationalise for themselves.

What is it with the English. Colonise half of the world then moan about folk who want a few concessions in your own country. Hypocritical don't you think? Not your fault mind, you didn't colonise anyone however facts and facts and there's no hiding from them nor will brushing them under the carpet work.
In my humble opinion if someone does want to live in the UK and want to change things then they should go about the legal democratic way. Anyone opposing has the same right too. It's the civil way to do things. Threatening to 'islam will dominate' and 'general English right wing thuggery' is stupid and undermines the civil society we live in.
There is nothing wrong with being patriotic or pro British as long as you show self respect and do so in a respectful manner. Have some decorum about yourself. Don't use patriotism as if it's some sort of kryptonite as simple makes the patriot look like a fool. The phrase don't **** in your own back yard comes to mind.

Derek Laud's new book will be an interesting read, although it's not about what us lot on SN think. It's about the Conservative party and how they view the races; as viewed by a former adviser Derek Laud.
