I know, as road car it's probably like comparing apples to pears and your entitled to your own opinion, but I don't consider it a million times better.

I would still love one though
The last Lancia factory supported car on the WRC car ran in 1992.

The "official" Lancia factory team withdrew from the WRC at the end of 1991 having won 5 straight WRC titles for Manufacturers. Lancia still won the 1992 championship with the Delta as The Jolly Club ran the cars with full factory support. That is 6 straight titles and to date no other manufacturer has done this although Citroen have come close with 5 thanks to the brilliance of Loeb.

Yeh I know, jolly club run them in 93 also.

Not denying the integrale was awesome of its time, just trying to convey the nearest two seasons each car ran the impreza didn't perform too badly in comparison, therefore don't believe the integrale was a million times better than the impreza. I believe the impreza did debut in 93 at 1000 lakes and got on the podium, but was not used throughout the year.

Maybe next week we could discuss the Land Rover Defender and the Porsche Cayenne, there both 4x4's right so must be comparable.

I don't know about you lot but i drive close to the speed limit for the vast majority of my driving so not sure why every car that gets discussed is valued by 0-60 and torque in 1st and 2nd etc. Plus a RS in the wet maybe unable to reach it's full potential but then that can be said of rwd to a equal extent so should i maybe cancel my order for the P1 based on the fact it could be tail happy in the wet.

Two completely different cars and IF discussed as ROAD CARS and not racing cars we could maybe start to get somewhere.

Funny you should mention it, I had a little play with a Defender the other day and he kept with me from 10-30 mph. Was well surprised 'cus i was in a GB270 and that's just a WRX PPP with a prodrive spoiler (easily worth an extra 10bhp).

Yes maybe, but that would be boring and it wouldn't get you anywhere near 11 pages of quality internet discussion
