Omg that sucks about the Dyno breaking down. Typical lol.
It'll be worth it in the long run. Any idea how long you'll have to wait to get it mapped, again?

Nice car chap and love the new wheels.
Not sure though why you bought a Perrin induction kit when what you had looked to be easily up to the job and would probably have flowed more air!

Also, why did you buy an eBay front mount but a Perrin short ram kit?
Would it not have been better to buy say an HDI FMIC and have kept the induction kit?
Just thought it an odd choice given you've clearly splashed out big time on some of your other mods!

All that said it's a lovely car, always loved the Prodrive kitted bugs (had one, I'm biased ), and look forward to reading more updates.
With a set of tubular headers and a good up pipe you should see more power out of that 2.1 - my SC42 actually made 439 on a 2.0 at Surrey Rolling Road and with your revised spec I wouldn't be surprised if you reached 450, although I know Martyn doesn't like to push cars too much on his maps.

Thanks for the comment.

Perrin was bought for me so couldnt not fit it really. The other filter was a £15 ****ter off ebay!

Fmic couldnt wuite stretch to a HDI or perrin so these flow enough for what i need, not heard any horror stories about then and had one one my blob at 407 bhp, in future i may change it.

Rcm headers and up pipe are fitted as i said in the thread mate.

Mapping
Martyn will get it if its there, would rather a safe map then a ***** out car killer, we will be mapping with meth too so who knows what it will produce, seen great results with the sc42+ turbo so hopefully I come out with a well sorted string car. Will update saturday with mapping redults.

Cheers
Dan

The old induction kit was a rcm one I shd know I paid for it :-)I do like the look of the perrin one I must say.an I wanted to finish the car off with a perrin front mount.but if what u are saying is correct then the results shd be good anoth with the eBay one.but would you not be thinking what would it make with a perrin front mount or to the same standard.i still can't find anything to replace that car.like I said if you did not find the funds it was never going to be sold to any one else .i still regret that day but fair play to you I know u will look after her.roll on the rolling road

The RCM would only just fit with fmic and was really pushed up into the corner of the strut trurrer where the boost solenoid is. Wasnt happy with it there.

Not that worried about the make of front mount to be honest. It will still make good numbers and drive fine.

You did look abit teary eyed deano when i drove off in it lol at least you know its being looked after. Only put fuel in it once since i bought it off you lol!!
