Son of Rambow, started well, faded into a crap UK coming of age drama.

Skinwalker Ranch, again started ok then got a bit silly. Scares always subside when they come at you to frenetically.

Watched 'The wee man' yesterday. Apparently 'based' on a true story about the Glaswegian underworld, a gritty film with some very credible performances.

Watched We're the Millers last night, a few laugh out loud moments that hurt my ribs but the last 40 mins nearly sent me to sleep.

Watched coherence last night.
A low budget sci-fi brain melt about the mental consequences of a comet passing close over earth whilst friends have a dinner party.
Absolutely brilliant, highly rated on IMDb

I watched The Lost Coast tapes, should have been better. It set itself up beautifully but failed to provide the big scares or revealing ending.

I'm left thinking wtf?

Can't get enough of him in Training Day, he's like a 2 hour version of that classic Joe Pesci scene.

Just watched the Spanish flick Atrocious, it's like a stripped down found footage version of The Shinning, only scarier and probably the most tense film I've ever seen.

We just watched American Sniper. A good film I thought, especially as I didn't realise how it ends.

Finally got around to watching The Princess Bride seeing as it tops nearly every bloody genre list.

Crap. The last line in the film is a little bit of saving grace as it nearly made me cry but on the whole naff.

Me too. I eventually got around to watching this as I noticed it was on TV the other night. Don't get me wrong, it was a good film and kept tension going throughout, but not as good as I was hoping. I think that was down to the ending a bit, though. I'll not spoil it for anyone who may still want to watch it, but I was a little let down by how it finished. Still, glad I gave it a go.

Artistically superb, and I didn't feel let down by the ending tbh. Javier Bardem was massively impactful with his non-verbal demeanour. A thriller/horror film doesn't have to terrorise me; in order to be a good film. In that sense, it didn't really disappoint me.

Disappointed me too, felt like one of those made for TV films Channel Five used to show.

Not one of the Shannon Tweed ones mind.
