In my experience 20% meth added to Vpower or Tesco 99 yields approx 10% more power from most setups assuming they are knock limited on pump fuel alone.
It isn't all about the octane content either, don't get hung up on that as meth has more to offer in terms of it's cooling properties over toluene or xylene.

I like that you're always looking left field and admire greatly your work on the Audi gearbox, but when it comes to fuel additives it isn't necessary to experiment when everything you're trying has been done to death.
Thanks.
Certainly going to try out fuel additives in the near future once I start pushing my fresh engine.
I can get methanol fairly easy, of that's the best route then I have no problem trying it out.

If running 20% methanol mix I take it you are looking to richen up the fuel map as more methanol is required for the same AFR?
How much more are you looking to inject? Say my car is tuned to 11.5:1 on v power and I then put 20% methanol in it, using the wideband as AFR (therefore it doesn't know any different) what would I expect my AFR to drop to without adjustment? 12.5:1?
Just re tune to 11.5 and save that map as the 20% meth map

Yes you'll have to richen it up a fair bit, if you only have on overall map adjust try 1.1 as a multiplier to start with, it'll be in the ball park.

Cool, I'll have a wee experiment, should be able to put 4-5 degrees timing in too eh
