Out if curiosity, what car will you be driving if you're breaking your impreza?
Here is the replacement, less weight and more power

Still running on the NS2Rs

Now that looks mean! I have just seen your for sale thread and you have some amazing parts that you're selling... You are obviously a seasoned track day veteran by the looks of things
Would be nice to meet up at one of the venues maybe this year for a passenger ride

This car doesn't have the same sounds as your previous one. Really enjoyed listening to your other car as it sounded immense when changing gears! However, looks like the tyres are still providing great grip.

a lot of it is down to where the mic is positioned, and this car has been developed to keep the noise down due to track day noise testing limits
The Hawkeye was getting black flagged at Bedford so we needed to try a little harder with this classic. With the power hike from 400 to 600 it does sound a bit lacking.
Smooth with the throttle and steering is the best way if you ask me

Hi, they don't seem to have the best reviews; unlike the RSRs.
I've ordered 4 NS-2Rs in the soft compund and paid £300 all in. For the price it might be worth giving these a go also. The reviews given by many (inc Frayz & & Budgie) swayed my decision.

I'm not the one to be giving advice on tyres, which is why I came across this thread in the first place. Originally I was heading towards some Goodyear Eagle F1 A2's, however the NS-2R's came recommended over them. Furthermore, when highly respected members say they're good it makes it more of a safe bet...

As for the SS595's: because you already have them why not give them a go and see what you think of them? You could always change them after if you don't like them or if they simply do not provide you with what you expect. Nothing lost...

If it were me, I'd probably change them anyway, because the tyres are the only thing in contact with the road and owning an Impreza, one would assume you would need better than decent tyres. It has taken me since late August to finally make up my mind, so if you're like me and a bit indecisive - change them for piece of mind and go for the NS-2R's. In fact, I'm local-ish to you, so when I get my NS2R's fitted we can meet up and you can see for yourself what they are like.

I originally ordered mine from Tyreleaders, but my order was cancelled for some reason? Anyway, yesterday I reordered the same tyres for less from Oponeo - inc free delivery! Get them while they are cheap

Harborne. Literally up the Wolverhampton Road... Wow! 500?! Only 320 in your old one! Haha, you definitely need some good tyres then! I'll let you know when they arrive mate.

Sure, no problem. Hoping to get them fitted asap once they arrive. A place called Selly Oak Tyres fit and balance all 4 for £30 too. So it woks out better to order them off the net and get them fitted there.

Well they've arrived and look very nice indeed. Hoping to get them fitted on Saturday morning and will give an update as to how they are once on.
Thanks for all of the excellent advice from Frayz, Budgie and all those who helped with regards to tyre choice - excellent thread in general...

You're welcome mate now stop hijacking my thread .
I'm looking for 2 more but they appear to be out of stock across the country in medium compound unless you pay stupid money - guess it's because Dibbles has bought them all

Haha I was talking to the UK distributer for Nankang yesterday and he said that they apparently can't make enough of them, because they're selling out that quickly. Even my tyreleader order was cancelled after two days.
My guess is they'll soon go the way the R888s did; through the roof!
By the way Oponeo have yours in stock if you need two.
Thanks

Oponeo are out of stock of all NS2R's now mate, they only had soft compound and now all of those have gone too.
Going to call them in a second to see when the next expected shipment is coming in....

My neighbour is the buyer for a local tyre warehouse and he couldn't beat the prices I paid for the fronts mate so I suspect Mags won't be able to either but I'll give him a shot - long way for me to go unfortunately.
