Knowing that the engine should be fine with that power, I will just have to do some thinking if.
1. do I need it
2. do I want it
3. will my pocket let me after having it all polly bushed ect lol
At least ill have a few weeks to think it over, after just snapping my color bone today in work, great just before xmas. Looks like the misses will be busy next few weeks while I'm laid up eating and drinking hahaha

$hit news Greg, sorry to hear that mate, hope it's not too painful.
As regards to mapper, I used Pat Herborn back about 4 years ago when I had my Simtek installed, under the advice of api. Without going into detail, I most certainly wouldn't use his services again.
With my future possible plans with the car I was going to use the late JGM, but obviously can't now so had possibly enginetuner in my mind, as indigo don't map Simtek /Alketek ecus. A few on here have used them, I used them for my 4 wheel alignment and thought they were a good bunch and delivered what I needed.
Going on what 'Boosted' said,. I would certainly be looking at getting the map checked, as he thinks It could be running lean, and going on what I've read on various tgreads he seems to know his onions.
Good luck anyway mate.

Hia mate
What sort of figure are they charging you? (pm if preffered)
I called them today to ask them to map out an engine management light from my faulty secondary air pump but was told they would need to complete a full re map as they werent the original mappers of my car (already mapped on ecutek)
unsure if thats correct procedure?
anyway, good luck with the mapping!

I would of thought a figure between £150-200 would be about right for a car that already has an ecutek liscence, they probably mean that they will just map it the way they deem is right, I may be ringing them up soon as they aren't too far from me and trying to get hold of the other reputable mappers these days is a nightmare, need to get an Esl board first though!

Seems to be a common thing on the ej25 and from all the info ive read people say it has to be mapped out to tell the ecu that all is ok?

The removal of the air pumps needs for the mapper to 'map out' the CEL fault, removing the fault by wiping the fault memory is only a temporary fix.

I wish it was that much for a new map without the license lol I was quoted 350 but then I would rather pay that than say 150-200 to someone who thinks they know what they are doing. Im not sure how much the likes of bob ect charge and if they do charge anywhere from 150-200 I thinks its a bargain but I do understand it can be a nightmare booking with them ect.
As for me I'm happy and would rather it done up on the rollers and if that demands a premium then so be it also its not to far for me to travel so happy days

Hi all!!!
Well a little update just had the mapped today!! In the end I went to powerstation for my map as last week I had to cancel my map with indigo gt due to bad weather and the next saturday the could do was in about 3 months.
So gave powerstation a ring and had it booked in for the following week the car is now running nice with 343 bhp and 336ft
The guys at powerstaion where very nice and professional I would gladly go back there so they get a thumbs up from me
