NO!

SOFTEN THE REAR COILOVERS. Stiffen the front.

Good tyres yes.

Wing off yes.

Just for posterity I am down 1.70 60fts on road tyres at road pressures. I can go faster and the car has recorded 1.4 60fts before on the slicks

Nope never bothered. It doesn't interest me who is faster and who isn't. I have my own personal goals to achieve, worrying about what other people are doing is just a good way to spend lots of money chasing figures.

Like setting a 10 on road tyres. I could move over to slicks and do it easily, much the same as I could do a meth map, I could engage my flat foot shifting, launch control, etc etc. Or I could take it as it is upto Shakespeare and do a 10 quite easily with the superior grip....

This is a good one, now I know my cars accurate 0-60

http://www.autosnout.com/Cars-0-60mph-List.php

My cars has the same 0-60mph as a Supercharged Koenigsegg CCR 4.7 V8. Blimey!

The Subaru Impreza WRX STI R205 Spec C manages 3.7 - I should have bought that!

I'd have a good look at binning/reversing the bonnet scoop as well. They're fine on a rally stage but they're appalling aerodynamically and you really want to be minimising drag.

You will suffer from hotter under bonnet temperature if doing that. Not good on a car with a top mount.

My car is running 15 degrees hotter with a reverse scoop.

Here's what it would look like if you got wheel spin Matt

I know I was just working on the basis that didn't need saying as it's kinda obvious. To be honest top mounts really aren't a good set up for drag racing, far too many drawbacks for my liking.

There's a touch of smoke, from the front I believe, but you can hear deffo hear wheelspin off the line and then a screech after changing to 2nd.

It didn't smoke when I did my 12.6 either :/

Not sure clutch slipping sounds like rubber spinning on tarmac either, thought it was virtually silent.

That was only one wheel losing traction. And gear change tyre squealing means you aren't granny shifting....

Honestly look at your launch.

I get you Neil, however I think everything needs spelling out lol. I will be removing the reverse scoop from mine.

I definitely agree about needing a fmic if seriously interested in drag racing.

I wonder where your inlet temps would end up using a top mount with no bonnet scoop

Ask Matt he leaves the engine running with the bonnet down while queueing! I bet there are some pretty funky intake temps going on there!

My point exactly! Lol wants to call a 12.44 a 12.4, may as well do away with the decimal place n call it 12. Either way wasnt the claimed 11.9 😂😂😂

I don't get Matt's obsession with my 8 year old time, that was set on concrete not tarmac.

Not to mention his car is probably lighter now than mine was, and it has more bhp/lb-ft than mine.

Straight race, I know who'd be losing.

Couldn't believe it when I got my ticket and it read 12.45, I mean I know I wanted to beat your time but talk about by a cat's whisker.
