Is any one able to work out the last run from the figures from the 60 ft 330ft etc? To see what the quarter mile et actually was?

You mucked up the launch and the 1-2 gear change bogged down.

By holding revs you are doing nothing useful what so ever. Have a look at these for Improving your launch
https://youtu.be/riv1s8v5sBA
https://youtu.be/z9SNhP395Io

You need to rev it so full throttle back off and repeat, then time your clutch out with peak revs, slip it a bit if you don't get it quite right.

If you get wheel spin let it hit the limiter twice then grab 2nd and go hard otherwise you will bog down.

Your time doesn't start until you move so no pressure to get off the line first. Forget what's next to you concentrate on your times

Watch my boost gauge on the 2nd one at my launch I'm spinning the turbo up ready to go and then you don't have to over come the inertia when you dump the clutch

Ahh i see. Very good launching that. I guess ive got a lot of improvement to do. i just realised this video wasn't the one of my last run. This video is where i got 12.4.

I havn't got the in car video of the last run which was my best run where launch was perfect and so was gear chnages but my cousin has this on his camera from the outside. I will get that video of it and upload so u can see if the launch was good or not

Your launch will have lost you a lot of time. Work on that, use the revs and work on your clutch.

You do seem to have good in gear acceleration, Albeit a bit "top endy"

About 0.5 secs u reckon?

When u say top endy do u mean revving to high?

Most of your time is made up in your launch. It makes all the difference. Should easily be another half a second in that car.

As banny said, try get some more response out of it low down 😊

12.2 is very slow for that power in a classic! Should be low 11's.

Your 0-60ft is fine and terminal about right for 12.2 but it makes me think you have an heat issue robbing you of power or something. Unmapped headers might mean you're running a bit lean.

6 speed is a crutch apart from on JGlanzas car but shouldn't really be a factor since as you're tackling the launch well, are you getting a lot of wheelspin in 2nd gear?

Nobody can race you, you sit at a green light going through your laborious launch routine.

I've streamlined the launch based on your expert advice now Matt, I bow to your superior knowledge

I'd say heats ink and poor launch and gear shift was the issues here. But what would I know! Haha

Matt when you are going up the strip then?

Could be right it's probably not running to full potential. But we'll see soon. Shakey is closing but don't knw when. Im going this weekend to see how i get on. Also rs matt u have to remember im a full weighted p1 with 3/4 of a tank fuel. Most of these 500bhps classics either are stripped or partially stripped. I still had my old clutch and battery in the boot

I reckon a 11.8 was possible if i launched without bogging

Indeed it is, End of this season is what I keep hearing,

Within a few weeks I'm hoping to get a run at both Pod and Shakey so will keep an eye out for any other impreza's.
