Very impressive stuff. Thought you might have had 45's to lengthen the ratios out a bit.
I can't fathom it out but Classics seem to grip better than Newages.
Also Newage STI's tend to need 700bhp to get into the 10's and classics can do it with 500bhp, I know Classics are lighter but that circa 200kg is only equal to a 50bhp difference at max.
I'd argue that the extra 200bhp is making traction and gear changes tricky if it weren't for the fact a 700bhp classic is pushing 9's.
JGlanzas 6 speed set up just confuses me even more as I thought it was the Achilles heal of the Newage.
Don't look at one item as no one item will be the issue. It is a package and all the parts have to work together and compliment each other to work right.
I have spent a lot of effort in designing my package to do a 10 with now sub 500hp. The proof is that with 550hp I was at 11.34 this was with my suspension in drag mode, warm tyres with my launch control etc on
and with 54bhp less I am running 11.18. On cold tyres up a cold track with a headwind, suspension in road set up and no launch control.
The difference though is my power band with my new engine, I'm on the power sooner and holding it for longer. Less transient laget and it is a considerably quicker car than when I had it at 550hp. Sounds crazy but it would leave the old spec for dust in a straight line....
You can soften the damping right up on the rear and stiffen the front, to help with hard acceleration.
Are you spinning the wheels in 2nd? Let it hit the Rev limiter a couple of times to let everything catch up in 1st.
On last three runs where i got 12.4 then 12.3 then 12.2 i had the front stiffened up to about 20 clicks. Out of 32. Maybe it needed abit more? Back was kept at 10 clicks. Yes there was some some in 2nd but not that much. I did think i may have changed to 2nd abit too quick. I will try and upload the in car video that i made later when i get a chance

Yeah good idea. Back can go as soft as you want. I set mine to 0 clicks and front to 16...
it MAY be down to the set up of the car? im running PPG straight cut 5 speed 4.44 ratio, Kaaz 1.5 way front diff, cusco 1.5 way rear diff.... my times were on maxxis 225/40/18 tyres, normal road pressures, literally drove the strip with the car set up as I drove to pod.
Il have to upload the vid when i get but this is the slip. On last run some litter from track went past the sensor but the time was actually 12.2. Not 6.4. Wish it was tho lool

With 500 hp and 1300kg I would expect to be well into the 11's, I did a 12.52 with 420bhp and 1650kg Golf 4motion, on a concrete track.
Pod surface is indeed very weird. Never had so much wheel spin but yet able to bog so much. Shakespeare had a lot of grip, took a lot of aggression to not bog down.
Is your in car video just from the windscreen or did you manage to mount it where we could see gearshifts etc? Get it uploaded
