Had the car mapped at Evotune last Friday and the map is superb. Made 371bhp and same torque so clutch is still perfect.
Didn't use the 800cc injectors in the end so will be selling them on now.
Got a pair of bucket seats to sort then will be looking for a different turbo as the one fitted now isn't perfect but delivers what I wanted for the time being. Looking at a MD321, sc40 or sc42 then remap again.

Slightly more weight removed from the car - 2.5kg. This is all adding up so makes a difference overall.
Will be doing more next week when off again.....
Also with the help of GSM Performance I sorted out bucket seats - Mirco FIA approved in blue, these are being made now so GSM sorted out the subframes and sliders and they arrived last week:
Was going to a Renault meet today so cleaned car up so was vaguely presentable:
Unfortunately my local council are imbeciles so they dumped god knows how much salt on the local roads and its been sat in piles across the roads for god knows how long and meant my car arrived at the meet like this:
Cant wait for my new seats to come and for the secret mod to arrive from the USA!

Well prep is getting there, over the last 2 days the following have been done:
- Seatbelt pretensioners linked out
- Drivers seatbelt warning linked out
- Cables tidied up in cabin
- Temp firewall fitted
- Front and rear brakes stripped cleaned, pads roughed up, disc centres painted then rebuilt with copperslip
- Rear damper socks fitted
- Front ducts piped into wheel arches ready for deflectors for brakes
- Headers to uppipe gasket replaced with DIY gasket until new spares arrive
- Induction scoop and pipework removed (2kg)
- Wheels cleaned and sealed
- New RBF600 brake fluid in
Unwelcome weather!
Temp gasket made up haha:
Brake ducts starting to take shape:
Induction pipework removed:
Rear dampers cleaned, greased & damper socks added. Wheels & arches cleaned and sealed as well as brakes serviced.....
Also removed centre caps to save me £50 when they melt the clips on track and fall off haha
Interior work is done until after first race so the office looks ok.....
Tomorrow will see the new front tyres being fitted as well as waiting for my delivery of new gaskets

Well had my first race and got 5th in class and 29th out of 70.
Since then have been sorting a few more things......
10kg more removed including undertray, rear door crash bars, alternator cover, various brackets. Still loads more to come off haha.
Also fitted the lighter non aircon alternator bracket and a new CDF racing aux belt.
Had a nice drive out and about today then back home to test out my new snowfoam lance....
Hopefully can get plenty more done soon

Lovely job that you have done. Its an similar route that i want.
How much weight did you shed off? What did you take out in total?
What is that new rear window thing that you got? Whats the reason for this mod? Is it fixed permanent? Or is it detachable?
Keep up the good work 👍, keep us posted please 😊

The rear window vents help pull the hot air out the cabin when the roof vent isn't open. They are removable and take minutes to install and seconds to remove.

Well I had a trackday booked for May 16th to learn the track for my next sprint event.
However the Impreza cried off haha - flat battery meant expense for the new one. Sorted this then expansion bottle cap blew off emptying coolant all over the engine bay, since then a slight squealing noise was present in the timing belt/water pump area.
So after ruling out headgasket issues the following has been completed:
- Alloy radiator
- Mishimoto ancillary hose kit
- Forge header tank
- Expansion bottle from the fmic kit I have
- STi header tank cap
- Timing belt kit with Gates belt
- CDF Racing belt guide
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Millers coolant
- Water Wetter
Also modified the radiator ready for fmic later in the year
The header tank came grey but I didn't like it:
My partner, Lisa, got me some Depo 60mm gauges and my brother a 14" curved racing mirror for my birthday which I promptly fitted:
The water pump had been the cause of the rough running and issues - bearing was seizing up and locking completely causing idle to drop to 400rpm.
So had plenty boosting about and the car is now perfect!
Now to get used to the car again hahaha
Now for the fun part - the trackday I mentioned was still completed but in my Ovlov Diseasal boost bus.......

Abit of update again......
After having all the issues with the car sorted I managed to make my Croft race......
Finished third in class with 11th out of 67 overall which I was very happy with, the car is around 320-330bhp at a guess due to the turbo problems so I was around half the power of the Evo that came ahead 0.7 seconds of me so was exceptionally happy haha.
Wheel alignment still hasnt been touched in 18 months so shows the car still has even more potential.
The car is going to finally get the power and upgrades it deserves so I am moving back down to 17" alloys.....
Got these M06 cheap so did a DIY refurb and got some new blue genuine alloy centre caps....... just keeping my eye out for some cheap track rubber.
Also got an SC42 on order to go along with my Japspeed FMIC, Harvey Smith trick uppipe, Perrin 4 bar map sensor, swirl pot and 820 injectors.
Spec C manual window conversion:
As well as these bits the Clutch has decided it doesn't like working so an ACT Extreme 6 puck is being sourced

Where to begin with an update??
Well the car has the compomotives on for road and Superleggeras for the sprints I do....
All the hardware is now here for the next power upgrade a well:
800cc Injectors
Billet MDX321T turbo with ceramic coated hotside
Trick uppipe
Japspeed FMIC
Red pipework for above & DV blank
Perrin 4 bar map sensor
This will all be going on over the winter before going to Evotune for mapping.
Interior has had more bits stripped and tidied to help with concentrating on driving and making controls easier.
Battery is now in boot and converted the intercool sprayer into the screenwash bottle instead.
New clutch is in and much better - old Exedy was trying to kill itself after Croft haha
Once a wheel alignment had been done the car went off to Snetterton for my final sprint of the year, ended up 3rd again which put me on points in second! Over the moon with that!
Lastly was carbon mirrors and some nice photos to get some practice in....
My Fiance also passed her test so got another to play with:

@Robbie1988 - You said you converted the intercooler spray to run from the windowscreen washer bottle. Did you just put a T piece in where the window washer is (so it would spray the intercooler when you wash the windows) or does it still work off the intercooler spray button?
I am just wondering if it was T'd off the window washer would it loose much pressure in actually feeding the washers for the windows.
Matt.

Well car has been off the road from Christmas while work was underway for new power target......
Intercooler pipework was painted wrinkle black. All hoses replaced with red and also ended up making 2 custom induction kits as thought I was going mafless before deciding to go back to Maf haha.
Also the Samco turbo inlet pipe I had on was poor so went to a Group N samco item with no takeoffs. Also added a catch can for the breathers......
Final shot....
24th February is mapping day! Cant wait!

So haven't been on here for abit, just after I did the last update someone decided to crash into my lovely little 182 Cup and caused me a lot of back grief.
Since then the Impreza was out of bounds as struggled with the seats and cage.
Rightly or wrongly I decided to knock the car down a notch in terms of interior trim.
Thanks to Matty at MB Developments I have got a full trim in, the front cage has gone and the race seats are also gone. I have pieced the interior trim around the remaining rear rollcage with harnesses and also normal seatbelts.
The good news is this means I can now enjoy the car but trackdays and my sprints are out of the window for a while which is gutting!
The car went on the rollers for mapping but apparently the mapper was having issues with my MAF sensor reading so is capped at a safe 375bhp. I have a new MAF tube setup and will be heading to Scoobyclinic instead when I have the money to get the map done correctly.
Here we have some shots of the car, last shots are from a recent show I was at. Also now on Compomotive M06 rims with road tyres to save my AD08r tyres.
Also the battery has gone back into the engine bay and the catch can setup moved around. Definitely happy with the car until I can get the remap sorted and achieve my 440bhp I want!
On another note, heavy launches have mullered the engine mounts and gearbox mount haha
