It's very strange reading when you view online media aimed at a Left or Right target audience, the country is definitely split on immigration or the many undertones related to it. There's not many comments to articles that show people sitting on the fence.

Whether people accept it or not mass-immigration and or extremism growth is a huge worry for many people and the failure to act now may lead to a party like BNP, LibertyGB or most likely Britain First getting in power and that would be disastrous.

Sorry, I haven't yet read your link, but it is about that UKIP MEP defecting, then I think Farage is going to have more pints than you tonight, to drown his sorrows.
About the allegations, is the UKIP defaming him because they've seen their @rse, or is there something substantial in it, I wonder?

So now he has been reincarnated?
His views are quite clear, they aren't going to suddenly change because he joined UKIP. Farage clearly stated that he also backed an insurance based scheme for healthcare, until he did a flip flop
Personally I think all avenues should be explored with regards to the NHS, I have no ideological opposition to any way of funding it.
However it does seem that when it comes to any area other than Europe UKIP seems to struggle to put forward a coherent opinion/policy.
Hasn't the head of policy been sacked because he didn't hand his homework in on time?
Trouble is the NHS in its current guise is such an easy target for people like Richardson.
It's in a p1ss poor state and is a massive gravy train for many who work in it hence why they don't really want change unless it means more money for them.
The notion of what it was created to be has got completely lost by the previous and current governments.
Sadly I think it in inevitable that within the next 25 years the service will move to a model more like Australia. It was once the jewel in the crown of the UK, now it's more like a ball and chain we have to drag around.

To be fair the NHS is very good care wise, but reminds me of a duck looking all serene on the surface of the water, but paddling furiously underneath. Without the doctors and nurses actually giving a crap I reckon it would be in tatters by now!
Still, if I had to choose between being ill in Australia or here I'd choose Australia every time and yes I have a good knowledge of the health system out there. The other countries I cannot comment on as I have no real idea of how their systems work.
