It was just a simple re-education process that it was happy as a pig in **** at RPM that would have most cars going bang.
Totally agree... went from a 360/390 MY07 STi to a 1996 JDM DC2 and if I'm honest, the Teg was far more fun on a back road despite the lack of blunt force compared to the Scoob, it was very easy to keep the Teg on the boil as you said.

Have read a few articles about this new CTR and they're saying that a c7000rpm limit is likely... which is a bit of a shame because it suggests that it will be a 'lazier' driving Type R.

Yep they are beams.

Its French shyte thats Torsion springs at the back....and the front suspension of old Shoguns, L200s and Toyota Hi-aces (and Jag E-types).

And its AWD Audis that have a TORSEN diff

But yeah.. beam axle at the back actually makes FWD cars more tail happy. Independent rear with McPherson strut front isn't always better for handling balance.

Thats why the 'Teg and old Accord had double wishbone FRONT. Only FWD cars with this type of front suspension need to have multi-link on the rear. McPherson is the work of the devil....(IMO of course )

I wish Honda would show us pictures of the actual car you are going to be able to buy rather than keep referring to it as a "concept" car. Makes me wonder if the real car is going to have a rather watered down look.

Hopefully, they will have something really special and this will cause the competition to produce even faster cars in response.

They were the same in the run up to the FN2, I was close to preordering one off of the released pictures and the concept car. I was glad I didn't when I saw the actual car though. Not a fan tbh.

With a lack of "real" pictures I fear it may well be a case of deja vu...........

i paid 17.5k for a new facelift in 2004 in the new cosmic grey, had it 3 months and sold it.
awful car, lack of torque made it impossible to use for me.

Or you are deluded. Owned an FN2 and any more than myself in the car and it was sloooow. Off the lights hard to put power down as 5000+ rpm needed so easily beaten by tdi golfs etc. My current Focus RS puts the power down a lot better. Even Motorway driving in the CTR you have to drop a gear to overtake at any pace.

Did you ever get it fixed as it was clearly broken or you can't drive!

No amount of trickery can "hide" a peak torque figure of 140ish lbs-ft though.
Less than my food blender. And my electric toothbrush.
