Finally got round to fitting my morrettes including wiring up the inner full beam bulb, I actually think these are brighter than the other depos I had on.

Also got some new rubber on, it was tyres time for both cars, this and daily so both cars got treatment.

My daughter approves

And got this for £20, can't go wrong as all I needed was to keep temp under control

Should get time over weekend to tweek map and have a go at the vvt fingers crossed, but apart from that just enjoying it and making up for lost time.

Well tonight we tweaked car today and now running 2.050bar peak, gets there pretty quickly too.
Mental tbh.
The vvt not playing still, we think it maybe due to jti wiring diagram tbh so will look at that later, but after today don't need it lol.
But my motto is why have vvt for it not to work, circa 300rpm boost sooner will be better than not so we'll tackle that later.
I'm very happy lol.
Onto meth next
Thanks to Tim (tweaks)

As this thread is for documented history and to see where im at on project, also can always check back.

Well slight update, went for a dyno to see where im at with it as a ball park figure.
Honestly i was hoping for more (wink wink) but had a couple of issues that didn't help,
Only got 1 run in which was the very first one, the second 2 runs after kept hitting boost cut so we couldn't run further.
1st was coolant issues as was getting quite hot and 2ndly hit boost cut at 2.1 bar. (Dont know why as never hit boost cut on rd and held 2 bar all the way, but hey ho.
It made 405hp held boost pretty well to redline.
I also think my lateral inlet is slightly suctioning under boost so im getting a proper custom ally one made.
Also we think that 2 bar is maybe too high for this turbo as dont think it makes much difference after 1.7/1.8 bar so we might just reduce boost and add more timing and save the 2 bar for meth.
Need to sort engine coolant issue so ordering a sti 1.3bar cap and a lower degrees thermostat.
Graph reads a bit laggy but still not running avcs at the moment.
Well its a idea to know what i want to do to tweek a little so get bits sorted and get some meth in it and dyno it again soon.

Anyway heres my graph
And for those who doupt the dyno, it is quite accurate and not generous like some mightof give me 450 here (naming no dynos)
(I have back to tested this dyno in past with SC and were only circa 5 and also there was a guy there that had recently bought his car with a quoted figure of 278 so he dynod it just to confirm it was what it was sold to him at and it made 278)

Get some bits done and few tweeks and ill be back, but drives totally different on road compared to graph, no way it spools that late, but who drives in 4th at 2k rpm lol.
On road it read 1.5 bar at about 3.5k rpm only night before.
Really pleased with the line and curves though.

Lol Alyn.
I have looked at the rcm one circa £60 but rcm one is 70c and the cosworth is 68c but extra £15. I think I want scene points lol.
Do you do the cosworth one?
Are yours cheaper delivered than above prices?

Well steering rack bushes fitted, easy job tbh, took me all of 30 mins to do.
The old bushes were not perished or anything but I can notice there's no loose wiggle on wheel when driving, now seems to want to steer when I wiggle, apart from that no difference IMO.

There's a few on eBay around £45-£50 from AA, ICP, sprinting hare etc but I got mine from Japan for £28.99 delivered. Took about 2 week to come though.
Beware of a lot of fakes on there though.
They are about the above figure, all the £5-£10 ones are fake, you can tell by the colour of bush used.

Got mine from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121966911492

Oh yes sorry, well as above, need a bit more
But nah, it's pretty great really, I just want to finish it off to my perfection and then I'm done mechanically. (Is it really going to be finished though?)
Just a few stuff to sort then I'll be back on dyno with meth.

Sort avcs
Sort cooling
Tweek map
Wire cal switch
Hard inlet pipe custom made as I'm not 100% with the lateral one
Add meth
enable LC
and I'll see what else as I go along.

Opted for a rcm 70c stat instead.
Also got some heat reflective tape for my hot side IC pipe.
Went to tims today and knicked a fan for radiator as mine only had 1 on for some strange reason.
Just need to get them on over weekend.

Well, got the new stat, extra fan and 1.3 bar cap fitted.

Also put a new neutral position switch in box as when we tried to put launch control on, it was saying it was in random gears lol (I've read these can cause unrelated issues, I'm on syvecs so it let me map it. Who knows it may have effected hp etc, avcs......)
But anyway, a right pita of a job todo on the drive way lol, it's located right on the top of the box deep in the chasis tunnel.
Had to drop box far enough and reach in, not ideal when I've got back issues.
Anyway job done,

and I'm sure it feels smoother as in less aggressive? But maybe it's because I havnt driven car for a week or so.

Also fitted some gypsy reflective tape on hot side intercooler pipe just to help it a bit from heat.

Just got a turbo inlet to get made now as I hate that blue inlet and I'm not convinced it don't slightly squash under boost, even a little bit I wouldn't be happy with so ally one it is then I don't have to think about it lol.
then we can wire cal switch to ecu and sort this meth map that Ive been hankering for a while now.
But I want to get it all perfect that I'm happy with first (I'm a bit picky, if there's a restriction or even a potential restriction, I want to adress it .

My gypsy heat tape lol

Not much to report, apart from fitting a thicker ally radiator to finish the cooling system off, temps are perfect now, on boost it stays around 85-89, can barley touch 90 as long as it's moving. Only time now it goes up is when stationary and goes to 95 before fans kick in.
So happy with that.
(Got old rad from ecp only 2 moths old selling cheap in anyone needs one)

Fitted a fire extinguisher also, you never know when you need it.
And added rear camber bolts to give me some more rear camber.

Pretty much ready to enjoy TOTB, unless it breaks . Touch wood it's been good to me so far.
Still not got round to meth map as tims been fairly busy building a monster of a RA, you'll see it in action at TOTB. But he said we will do it on Saturday LOL, well it is a testing/mapping day

I couldn't afford new suspension this time round as too many things at home came in the way and getting them in time for totb, so it's my only downfall at the moment, but deffo on my shopping list very soon.

Fire extinguisher in passenger footwell

Can just about see the rad, had to mod bottom pannel a bit to fit

Well the car had its first outing over the weekend at TOTB.
It was a wicked weekend.
Started on curcuit on Saturday, had 4 runs getting used to car and deciding where to set the Dccd as car was cocking it's leg out of corners and not giving me enough traction until it straightened out, so set Dccd to first orange light which gave me traction out of corners, and then it broke, clutch line split so it was game over for time being.
The guys at brw helped and fetched a clutch line off one of the cars at garage in afternoon, couldn't be bothered fitting it when arrived as I started drinking lol.
By Sunday morning car was all fixed, cal switch activated and finally got avcs working also, added meth and I was ready for Sunday's fun.
I set my time targets by watching others and gave myself a time where I should be.
On Sunday I wanted to be in the 45-46 seconds, but somehow got into the 43s only just which I was chuffed with, you only get 5 tries on Sunday and I did it on the 4th try, my last try I tried too hard and didn't beat my time, ah well.
Considering I'm still running the crap suspension that I absolutely hate, I'm pleased.
Then I thought I'd give the strip a go to see where I'm at, I guessed I should be in the 12 second mark somewhere, but again beat that and managed a 11.8 with misfire in 2 or 3rd and was running a full tank so pleased with that also, could probably manage a 11.5 with correct fuel amount me thinks.
All in all a fantastic weekend with great evening banter and fun.
Luckily it didn't rain at all this year which is a rare sight.

So luckily car did well and it performed how I built it to preform, still not finished yet lol.

Here's a few pics
