And an exciting update, my short block is ready, so looking forward to collecting that over weekend.
600hp+ capable unit.
Also sent my heads off for full overhaul but they are a few weeks off due to work load.
Anyway few pics of short motor.

No updates as yet as alyn has still got my heads.
So the block is tucked away for now

But I did do a bit more painting.

I need to get all my engine bolts zinc coated in gold so need to sort that out, but too many busy weekends lately for a car day

I also picked up a reverse scoop for a pretty penny, which will get colour coded.

Oh I also have my brand new sealed cosworth 1.1mm head gaskets for sale if anyone's interested? £140 delivered as the middle holes are not suitable for 14mm headstuds so having to buy rcm ones, so if you don't have 14mm headstuds then this gasket will suit all ej20s.

i know, ive been pondering about it for a week now and decided do i spend that extra to finish it, map it, run it in etc and all the rest to have a bit of fun in it and then sell later or do it now while most parts are still new and move on to next chapter.
finacially for me makes sense to do now and get a daily/toy that i can use everyday as with kid growing up fast i dont really have much time and finances to have a project car as its been laid long enough as it is.
im pretty upset by my decision tbh and the thought of giving up now but my brain says do it.

Busta been in your exact position with that same decision to make went through with it in the end,but still modding it and fixing shoddy workmanship on it up to now...So completely understand where you are coming from.Do what you must mate but make it completely your own decision so you won’t have too much regrets.SJ.

Thanks guys, it really is a hard decision tbh, I've had friends, family, wife's giving me digs for ages to sell up etc but I've always told them to F off lol.
but yes it is totally my decision this one, it had to be! All that time, money I've wasted which I don't like quitting it really pains me to quit, I've been happy to do it in my own time at no rush. but it's been playing on my mind with me trying to find an excuse to carry on. My plan next year or two at most was to be done with a weekend/track project etc as I want a car todo both, drive daily and have as a toy.
so financially it makes sense to give up now than to pump more money and time to do it later. My kid is growing up fast and I need that time to make memories instead of pissing about on a weekend doing car, modding etc so I think I have to do it for her aswell.

but never say never, I could be back who knows.......
But lads, thanks, means a lot that you guys understand as it's really painful todo.
ah well I'm in no rush to sell stuff, I've been modding for so long now just need to DE-mod now lol.

Sad that you're selling it mate, but totally understand. All my projects get a back seat for family. You can only make those memories once.

Im like a girl here, but i may have changed my mind and finish it, have some fun in it next year and then sell up, just need to speak with tim later about it (I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about it, so that shows that its gonna hurt)
and yes it will have to sit for longer if i need family time that’s without question.
o know ill regret quitting if not.
ill update later
