5.8GB?!?!?!?!? Dear God, what bloatware. Is this how Apple will try to persuade people to buy the more expensive larger models?
It says it needs 6.9gig free to install on mine. A bit extreme for a 1.3gig file.

Daughters Ipad4 updated to IOS8 today, stuck on the apple screen after install, won't do anything, currently in recovery mode via iTunes - useless *******, but a good reminder why I haven't been drawn into the apple flock.

You end up loosing a gig of space when the update is complete as compared to ios7, pretty drastic loosing that if you only have 16gig so I would stick with ios7 if you need the space.

Like I said, not impressed, why do apple persist with such major regular updates? The regular XP updates towards the end of it's life were frustrating, but from what I've seen the major apple updates seem to be getting more troublesome and catastrophic in some cases.

Your blinkered, obsessive approach rather kills any credibility you might have ever had.

Broaden that narrow mind...
You should bite your tongue every now and then. I told it how it is, that's all.

It's a harsh lesson. Have a backup for your backups.

Had the files been lost as a result of hardware failure I'd agree, in 20 years as a PC user I only remember losing 1 file, a word document I completed and was mailing via a dial up modem. To be able to lose these videos as a result of a software upgrade just strikes me as a fundamental flaw in the approach to software upgrades.

Brilliant so far. One on device update and a full restore for my old iPad 2, so cool that it's still supported.

Health is a little disappointing, didn't work on my bike ride, everything else is awesome. I'm even getting to like the suggested words thingy, only used it on android before and it was ****.

Yea used to be, the swift kb word suggestion is awesome, its self learning and also takes your writing style from other social media apps, plus of course multi language/dictionary support.

Good luck finding a nice theme for yours on iOS

It's hardly rocket science Jack

A minute exercise equals 10 calories.

For anything serious ( beyond showing off to fellow geeks ) get yourself a garmin

I wonder how many iPhone users will start to complain of poor performance with the new OS?

Got a 6 and 6+ on order anyway. One of the perks of the job.

Theme, LOL. This is an Apple keyboard, it already looks great, don't need a Lego Star Wars version.

Why get a Garmin when I already have everything I need. You could have spent that money upgrading to an iPhone.

Ok firstly I have an iphone 5s. Secondly the themes for the keyboard for example aren't just nice icons and colour changes. It's something i can choose to customise to my hearts content or not. On the iphone you cant do either or even have the choice
