We shall wait and see hopefully get it mapped soon

I'm running it with a ported VF35, it's still quiet'ish. For me its like the happy medium between aftermarket volume and OEM volume. Although, there are lots of times I wish it was louder

They are so rare I'd rather keep mine and swap to another, louder back box when I get borred.

I'm also thinking about porting my headers for a little more performance, but also to help get a little more sound out of the Genome.

Have you got ported headers on the Foz?

Standard headers on the foz Resh, that could defo make a diffrence.. Hmmm more money lol. Did think about getting 35 ported like you suggested but just going to chuck it on first see what it's like

What wheels and tyres have you fitted? They appear to have filled the arches out more (I guess that's partly from the slight lowering from the coilover setup) which is something I want to achieve with my wagon.

Clearing Brembos would also be a bonus which I guess you're going for as well?

Cheers Fella! Not quite finished yet!

But I've promised myself not to spend anymore time or money on the car after this year! I'm rushing to get all my bits on and done!

The wheels are 17x7.5 std size WRX rims, they are light weight Rota GRA, with 215-45-17 tyres. They clear Brembos :-)

The car is lowered only slightly, i asked FBTuning to lower it to the same height as s std STI, which is 15mm lower than a WRX. There are a LOT of speed bumps where i live, and I didn't want to have ruin my daily drive/fun by having it too low.

Good spot buddy, I have spacers on. I unknowingly bought the car with aluminium hub centric spacers on. I don't know for sure, but i'd guess they are 15mm spacers. I didn't want to keep the spacers, but when i was at the wheel shop they said i would need new/std bolts to fit the wheels without the spacers!!! So i just left them on. It does give the car a more aggressive stance.

I was worried having spacers would cause damage/wear to the bearings. But the guy at the tyre shop said that he had 20mm spacers on his car for over 5 years with no issues. So i left them on!

Over the weekend i did a bit more sound proofing.

So far this has made the biggest difference. I would recommend doing the floor pan, front bulk head (as far up behind the pedals as possible) and rear seats to anyone that wants to reduce road noise. I don't think the other bits are worth it, and only add a LOAD of weight that u can feel affecting your acceleration.

Just heard back from Rich at FBTuning, he's ported my headers for me! :-)

He really knows his stuff, he's not taken too much off the mouth that connects to the engine, that hurt performance.

He also smoothed the internal part of the pipes to aid flow.

Getting decent ported headers by someone who knows what they are doing has been impossible, Rich's is price is pretty decent too!

The courier is dropping them off to me on Friday, i'll take more pics then!

I had my VF35 ported by Rich too!

Before:

After:

Rich/FBTuning didn't port it too much because of a crack by the wastegate. But it does spool nice and early!

Cheers they are 6.5" i had to get the spacers made up, because the cone goes quite far out to the edge, and the basket seemed to be bigger than the average.

They sound very clean, but i would have expected a bit more bass from the size and weight of the things!

New update.

I've been looking for a gearbox for a while. I thought about getting a STI 6sp, but with the cost i just couldn't justify it, especially as at some point in the future i would like either a Newage STI of Hawk WRX.

So i decided to look for a std replacement box with low mileage.

Have you ever tried to find a low mileage Newage box? Rare is an understatement!

After a couple of months I came across and bought this TY754VN6AA box and drive shafts, with a proven 50,000 miles and with 3 months warranty.

Which came from this car

I decided to get a second hand box rather than fix the bearings on mine, since mine has done over 100k.

I've also read that the TY754VN6AA boxes are stronger, guess I'll soon find out :-) Although, I'm not planning on going more than 330bhp, to keep things nice and safe, and reliable.

The gearbox and fitting has wiped out my modding money! Not planning on spending anymore ££ on the car for a little while!

Had a tiny bit of free time (for a change!) on the weekend gone, so decided to stick some DEI heat reflector to my Cusco Turbo heatsheild that I have waiting to go on.

A bit of bling! :-)

Also started to wrap my 100 cell sports cat and ported hearders, but ran out of wrap! :-(

Loving the transformation mate, sometimes wish I had a wagon over my saloon just for the ease with 3 kids and a dog. Do you by chance have a pic of the front drop links that were fitted? im gonna change mine soon, but I wanna make sure I use the right ones
