Oh dear....hold that pre-order, it's recall time!! (possibly). So it bends, but at least the camera is scratch proof.

Not wrong with that - on my latest holiday I left my 4/3 camera in my suitcase, and just used my phone. Even the 'meh' (compared to the market) quality camera in my N5 produced some amazing photos. What was really amazing was the results from photosphere/panorama; having a full 360-degree-in-all-directions shot of some scenes is hard to believe given I'm taking the photos on a sodding phone.

Maybe on paper or on bench tests, but not in reality Jack. If anything the exposure control of the 5S was not as good as on the 5 (one reason, I belive, that the 6 has real time exposure adjustment)

I ran a 5 and a 5s sumultaneously (personal and work) so was comparing them in the real world on a daily basis. Mrs DD has another 5S. The 5 produced consistantly the best results of the three.

In day to day use the difference between the 5 and 5s was not noticable.

Agreed, however customised design is in the eye of the beholder's imagination...

That because they copied Apple.

You could likely blind me with numbers, all I know is when I look through my photo albums you can tell when I upgraded. I take a panorama every month or so of the local development around here, the difference is obvious.

Frame rate on video, 2x as good, incredible slo-mo. 6 is even more awesome.

Oh and you can rub your finger on the home button as much as you like with a 5, Touch ID is 100% better on the 5s. M Chip as well.

If it wasn't for the barometer I'd be more than happy for another year with the 5s.

So they haven't put in the quality chassis of the former phones, and that ignores the fact that at the volume buttons the phone is seriously weaker.

All this time iphone users have been lauding the quality of the chassis on the iphones and they were right to a degree, but his just shows how good and durable composites are compared to soft-as-**** aluminium when you get down to slimmer phones. Think formula 1 composite tubs vs the old aluminium structures.

I think the 6+ is the best iphone that has been made, but if they learn from this the 7+ should be much stronger.

I will of course keep you up to date. I have to remove my current phone from my pockets often enough now, bigger is not going to make that better.

You have to think why try in the first place, and if you have to try, even half assed is it so bad? I won't be trying with mine so won't worry too much. Plus it's going in a Quadlock case which is pretty strong. So that's a stainless steel reinforced aluminium frame wrapped in a composite exoskeleton. I think I'll be fine, time will tell.

Well of course nobody wants to deliberately bend and break their phone, that is why the video is junk.

And yes a case is a good thing.
