Yeah somethings not right.

Although there was someone on the phone at 7.30am as they capped my call.

DLA Reg Check shows its taxed October and MOT till Next May

Vehicle details
Vehicle make SUBARU Date of first registration with DVLA 16 October 2006 Date of first registration 01 March 2005 Year of manufacture 2005 Cylinder capacity (cc) 1997cc CO₂Emissions 343 g/km Fuel type PETROL Export marker No Vehicle status Tax not due Vehicle colour BLUE Vehicle type approval M1

So the details seem legit?

the car details will be legit, as you have just done they are easily traced, probably what the seller has done too so to obtain the tax and mot status

If he was planning to scam someone, then surely he/she needs to reply/respond to calls, emails and texts?

Pretty sure Pistonheads do a phone safe number, so your proper number gets disguised so you dont get any calls after you have sold the car.

It always gives me the option when ever Ive sold cars on Pistonheads

I think you are all over analysing and missing the point.

He will be replying to emails and calls, but only the ones he can see as being gullible enough to end up leaving him a nice healthy deposit before viewing/collecting.

Powerwrx will not be coming across like that in his emails/phone messages so he will be ignored.

You would think wouldn't you? but he isn't even replying to those. My pal who is interested in it, sent an email offering to leave a substantial deposit before viewing it, just to try and get some contact happening....no reply.

Due to its price, he's probably just really confident it'll sell - hence no urgency on his part.

He's prob just enjoying the bank holiday somewhere nice and will respond to the messages in earnest, tomorrow.

Tbh if the seller can't be arsed responding to a car he's selling, he's not worth the effort IMO.

I think he was trying to say you are not coming across as being gullible, possibly a rare compliment from f1 _fan

FFS mate calm down What I mean is you will no doubt have enquired perfectly normally and with obvious knowledge. He is (I am guessing) waiting for the buyer who is so desperate to get the car at the low price he has advertised it at that they email him or phone him with 'I have been looking for one for ages and this looks great can I leave you a deposit so no one else gets it". Yes it does happen... a lot!

Do you think that there could be any chance that he's sold the car and is ignoring calls/emails.
