the car details will be legit, as you have just done they are easily traced, probably what the seller has done too so to obtain the tax and mot status
It always gives me the option when ever Ive sold cars on Pistonheads
I think you are all over analysing and missing the point.
He will be replying to emails and calls, but only the ones he can see as being gullible enough to end up leaving him a nice healthy deposit before viewing/collecting.
Powerwrx will not be coming across like that in his emails/phone messages so he will be ignored.

You would think wouldn't you? but he isn't even replying to those. My pal who is interested in it, sent an email offering to leave a substantial deposit before viewing it, just to try and get some contact happening....no reply.
Due to its price, he's probably just really confident it'll sell - hence no urgency on his part.
He's prob just enjoying the bank holiday somewhere nice and will respond to the messages in earnest, tomorrow.

What I mean is you will no doubt have enquired perfectly normally and with obvious knowledge. He is (I am guessing) waiting for the buyer who is so desperate to get the car at the low price he has advertised it at that they email him or phone him with 'I have been looking for one for ages and this looks great can I leave you a deposit so no one else gets it". Yes it does happen... a lot!
