its not worth it if you dont know what it is and a lot of people obviously dont.

its hard to value the cars due to how rare they are.

im talking about glenns old one here.

its not only the amazing condition of this car but how rare it is, id say the condition of the car would sell it all day long.

its worth 4k more than the hawk sti easily, but i agree there is not many people willing to part with 20k plus for an impreza that to the unknowing looks like any other hawkeye.

i doubt its a car that someone is specifically looking for hence why it hasnt sold.

look it up on the internet and see the extras fitted to it especially the amazing carbon backed seats and you will see why its worth the extra over the jdm hawk

Yeah, I've been watching it for some time on Torque-gt.co.uk and although they say the seats are worth 2.5k it would seem that they could be under pricing them.

I know technically it is worth it, when compared to the hawk jdm the seats alone make the difference but something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That said iam at a bit of a crossroad at the moment but am genuinely interested if my situation allows.

all i can say about this car is if i bought it (which i wouldnt) i wouldnt use it as an everyday car due to its condition and how rare it is, like a 22b its more of a show/investment car.

if you are buying it to use as an everyday car id go with the hawk sti

The main reason I am interested is because for the first time iam looking for a Subaru for weekends etc, it wouldn't see rush hour in my hands.

i guess its more what you want to do with the car, to pose around in the s204, to drive and have fun the spec c ra.

The seats are nice, but I'd rather have recaro pole positions.
I'm constantly on the Japanese auction site's looking for an RAR (not that I'm in a position to buy, curiosity more than anything) there was a few s204's at auctions recently

Special edition cars are meant to be enjoyed, not driven. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoy driving them but would never waste a journey in one.

I'm a big fan of the S204 but even to a casual that S204 is worth its asking price all day long. They'd simply need to take it round the block and look at it in a showroom to see that. But for those who are also big fans I think it is just that I think many of them are wondering if they can accommodate that car in a garage, plus all the upkeep and insurance etc etc, just for those special occasions.

I wonder how many enquiries that car has had from abroad...

Does anyone have a 'English' link to the performance figures, spec etc for the S204?

Appreciate that, yet how many people will be looking for such a car. The market is so small and keep in mind out of all the enthusiasts that are on here yourself and Norman have already plumped for the standard Jdm sti which states the case. I assume most others with 20k will be looking for a newer car with warranty etc I know that's what I opted for. If I had 20k or was in the position to finance it then Glenns old car would be on my drive yet for now my UK sti will have to do

^ what he said It's well built metal, but metal all the same.

My S202 on track is such a good time, if you don't push them in a race environment what's the point

20k is a nice deposit towards a gtr. Would I pay it for a scooby? Probably not. I totally understand its the dogs dangly bits but you can take a lesser car and make just as good and then some for that price. To me you're paying for exclusivity. Which obviously makes cars pricey.

Has to be said a gtr is defo on the list yet still think a r34 vspec might pip it

Any one know what the s204 and early gtr 08/09 lapped the ring in?

the 20k deposit plus a minimum 20k finance might not be everyone's cup of tea bud, let alone the repair bills if they go wrong. Buying it is one thing keeping it up together is a whole different ball game.

Exactly, bang on!
Gtr's are a lot of car for the money, the running costs dwarfe Subaru costs.
As for the r34 gtr, again it's only my opinion but that's even worse than the GTR.
There's only one, and that's the BNR32 GTR.

Oh and the c10 but they are crazy money

In order to be straight up you need to know the facts, I guess you also believe everything you read in the news paper to?

VX220 had nothing to do with me so before you start making wild accusations I suggest you actually read the threads. And as for the black spec c it's the only issue I had whilst trading for 3/4 years and was the reason I stopped.

Was a curious question and one I didn't know the answer to, expected it to be a lot closer than that to be fair. Cheers for the info

Immy can't please all the people all of the time. Wouldn't get involved and have it all dragged back up.

On the original subject of the s204 you wouldn't know how many are over this was along with the ra-r's?

short sharp twisties i expect scoob would be quicker with the punch from the turbo, but M3 handels way better and much more planted so the rings sweeping curvesd suit m3 better is my take on it
