yummy brakes on the irish one

fpan 16 August 2014 10:14 AM

I believe the Irish one was imported by Immy.
Not the best of pictures and a shame to remove the titanium exhaust to fit a Miltek or whatever aftermarket one!

Always was under the impression the s204 had uprated 6 pots already. Would still take Glenn 's old one that torque have as it's got all the original parts on it

I thought so too but apparently they were optional extras (same as in the RA-R)

Carnut 16 August 2014 10:44 AM

Bit strange that the one in Ireland says it runs on 95RON, maybe it is difficult to get 99RON where he lives, it also has budget tyres on that are one of two sets of tyre's but why buy budget in the first place when you have a s204.:wonder:

Would definitely go to torque gt if I was looking to buy.

p.s not in the same country. :p

fpan 16 August 2014 11:15 AM

99RON is not readily available in Ireland AFAIK.
The car has so much grip that the only way to have fun is to run it on LingLongs.

So he has a set of budget tyre's for when he wants to thrash it about, I think I've changed my mine, I'll have this one.:D

And what sort of madness is that, you spend a lot of money to have a car that has more grip then put budget tyre's on to lose the grip.

fpan 16 August 2014 11:32 AM

LOL. I am only joking but running on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports and Bilsteins myself, it is very hard to break traction.

Yeah, 97 RON is quite readily available but hardly anywhere sells 98 or 99.

hardly anywhere in republic of ireland sells 97ron now, and very few in northern ireland still sells 97ron :(

fat-thomas 16 August 2014 02:41 PM

not a lot of places sell over 97 ron in ireland, most cars are mapped to use 95 or 97.

rb5 stu 16 August 2014 02:44 PM

95 only in southern ireland.

rb5 stu 16 August 2014 02:45 PM

Nobody has ever sold 98 or 99 over here.

fat-thomas 16 August 2014 02:53 PM

the s series cars shouldnt be messed with, should be kept clean and original and thats what will hold the value.

glens old one is a far better car id say,if you want to modify use a run of the mill sti

As for the $10.000 quote on the seats that's smoking a crack pipe ....
Last Pair I saw sold for 4k .....

Irish one is fukced lol... Shut lines on the front are comical :lol1:

Rick2014 17 August 2014 02:07 PM

How many are there in the world roughly

dabiscuit 17 August 2014 07:09 PM

600 according to second advert.

Wonder if either will taker a tenner for the spoiler.

Carnut 17 August 2014 10:55 PM

So do we want one or not.:wonder: 20kish is a lot but could maybe come down a bit at sale and if the re sale value is ok then it could be seen as a investment compared to the alternative.

But what is the alternative, you could buy a widetrack or hawk and throw the rest at it and have a great car, as soon as you leave the engine builder's a lot of the money you have spent will be gone but would you have a better car?

the value of these s cars is in there originality as with most limited edition runs like the 22b etc.

a widetrack blob or hawk with 10 to 15k thrown at it will be a far faster and more capable car but will it be worth more??

probably not, the reason the irish one is not worth as much as the other s204 is because is been messed with, the other one is in amazing condition and 100% original, i know this as i have seen it at castle coombe.

NormantheDog 17 August 2014 11:28 PM

Compare to this?

For the additionall 4k you would be mad not to get Glenn old s204, just for the seats.... let alone the wheels all the sti upgrades and that oh so important badge lol

Could you explain that to my wife please. :D

It's a tough call but as desirable as the s204 is, they don't seem to sell well, I know that shouldn't matter but clearly a lot of people think its not worth it otherwise it would have been snapped up.
