So it ended smack bang in the middle of my estimate.

now the prat has re-listed it, should of taken the £4.5k as it's about bang on the money if you ask me.

I think the guy who offered £4.5k may have been a timewaster as otherwise it would seem silly not to sell it at £4.5k and then say £4k takes it this weekend unless obviously there was a 'ghost bidder'.

Either a timewaster or the car is fooked...! How could you tell if the engine in is a genuine STi Type-R one? I can see there is no 'red paint' on the manifold but a lot will not have the paint due to age anyway..

Cheers

Best bet would be to ask the seller first and see what he says, if he just talks a load of s*** and has little knowledge of it then just walk away as it could be a WRX lump for all we know. As surely if it was rebuilt with forged or OE parts then as a seller you would exaggerate what, why and when to encourage the sale

Oh well, it would only be worth buying if it was £2.5-£3k as it would leave some headroom for marginal error but going from what has already occured that will not be happening any time soon

Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.

I wouldnt go over 3k for a rusty type r, especially from a seller talking about "non turbo insurance", cheap rebuild, front mount decat and BOV with no mention of a remap.

Not a bargain for me but whatever floats your boat.
