I will be there on Saturday to "swell" the numbers ..... How does it work .. is there a specific time you have to be there or can you turn up take a place and leave again later ... Have a little nipper to think of.

DemonDave - As far as I am concerned you can turn up, and leave any time you wish.
You pay at the entrance, and I persume that if you want to leave and come back then your ticket (Or what ever you get) will get you back in again.
I personally will be arriving about 9:30 ish (Show starts at 10:00am) any earlier and you will want to go home before the show actually starts

DIRECTIONS:

These directions are taken from the information I received from the organisers (please don't blame me if the directions are crap)

"The venue can be approached via Jnc 31 of the M1 Motorway, following the A57 through Worsop to the A1.
At the A1 go southbound at the Roundabout and go 2 miles to the next roundabout sign posted A614.
Follow the A614 until you reach what is know as the "Country Road", It may also be sign posted Thoresby Hall/Thoresby Park,.
take this road.
Follow Brown signs for Thoresby Galleries and then eventually you will see brown signs for the "Events Field" about 1 mile down this road.
There will then be signs directing you to the car show (It may be sign posted "Classic vehicle show" don't be worried it's not classical cars, it's just what the organisers have called it)
And you should be there

I will be arriving at around 9:30am for both days.
If you get there too early, you'll just get bored quicker

So your arrival time is upto you, if you want to get there earlier be my guest, but you may end up giving me a hand when I arrive.
I would say get there before 10:00am as this is when the show opens to the public.

Don't know what time I'll be there as I'm almost always late

I'll be in a grey STi 5 Type R, although I will try to take it easy on the way over, it might look more like a "bug graveyard" by the time I get there.....

if your thinking of getting on the SIDC stand get there early!!
doors open to the public at 10am!!! but theres the sunday market next door and the roads will be chokka!!! you might be held up in Q's.

try and get there as early as you can.

To save me reading through the threads on this, I'm thinking of coming tomorrow. Is there general "safe" parking or do I have to put my car on show? Most of the threads suggest show cars only. Can't be arsed to clean mine as I'm still jet-lagged after returning from Miami the other day. So, can I come or what?

There is a general area for parking or stick it with the SIDC lot. They dont have to be clean to be parked there !

RRH - sorry to hear about your motor, I'm gutted for you, the b**s***d'S, hope you get it all sorted.

Skoobidude - get yourself on the stand, not bothered about it being clean, just want to increase numbers to compete with the evo's.

For all of you going Tomorrow (Sunday), remember your sun cream, cause I have got rather burnt today , you don't realise cause it was slightly windy.

We may have a bit of competition on our hands tomorrow, the Evo's are expecting "70" yes "70" cars there.

Thanks for all those who turned up today, thanks it was great meeting and talking "Subaru" with you all.

Even easier .... just follow the sound on the scoobs and park next , dont even have to tell em

 

drive into the main arena bit, on the right near the bar.

got the cr back from the police today- looks like clutch and box will need attention, possible diff probs too.
not sure who will pick up the bill yet- warranty, insurance or, god forbid, me.

not going to let the bas*ards get me down though- i'm now looking for a track car as well. if anyone knows of a suitable impreza candidate, mail me or post.
