I had £6500 transferred 9:30 pm Sunday night and it hit my account mid day Monday , that was HSBC to Santander .
Unless it has to go through security 9 out of 10 times it's 2 hr max
If its a trader bud I wouldn't of taken a deposit , as far as I'm concerned just saying they will buy should be good enough.
BTW ^^^^^^ that isn't meant as a bad thing to you , they should just phone and say 'I'll be there at x time and I will pay x amount'

Bank transfers online are normally instant (especially same banks) worst case can be upto 2 hrs.
If you haven't received it yet then it hasn't been sent.

I transferred 14k on collection of car and it went through instantly while I was there, sent from my phone (tsb) to another bank (can't remember which).
If you have a fast payment process which most banks do, then they are almost instant.
