100% agree with you.

It tends to be used by people who struggle to express themselves properly

Do you actually care about the situation in Middle East? Serious question. I'm not referring to the specifics and who's to blame but the death and destruction. Or do you just argue on carefully selected points as a Devil's Advocate?
On countless threads you pop up as agent provocateur to rebuff, derail and generally argue to the point where you think you've won. At no point do I ever feel you're speaking from the heart. It's like you're honing your debating skills and finding ways to discredit others just for the sake of it.
So which is TDW? Are you just a forum troll or is there something more substantial behind the persona?

I use the word not because I can't express myself, but because it accurately describes both the press and the politicians of this crappy country! The fact you both don't like it is the icing on the cake

No worries my accepting little sheep. Surprised you have time to post actually as I thought you'd be joining in with your party of choice in their mutual backslapping exercise over their 'economic miracle'.

Not really, but it fails to mention the 4.97% increase in population since 2008 so it's not quite as good as your mates would like us to believe. It also does little to address the fact we are technically bankrupt, but then again not much will.

Can't help being a realist. There are days when I wish I could be like you (and so many others) and think that because our political system isn't the most corrupt in the world then it's good enough or that the press wrecking people's live is acceptable as long as the freedom of the press is maintained etc. etc., but then I come to my senses thankfully!

You are a remarkably arrogant **** at times.

How the *** you can to presume to know what I or anyone else thinks of these issues?

You haven't a friggin clue what I think of the economy or the press. Just because I haven't got a manic view of the world you assume that I have a unrealistically positive view.

You should fuking grow up man

I think he can glean a fair idea of what your opinions are after several years of your pontificating on this forum.

Actually, I would HAVE thought he would HAVE got it right. Which I think he has in this instance. Unlike your appalling English.

Yays

In the interest if being equally condescending, I'm not entirely sure why I give you the time of day either.

I would say significantly more biased too but I'm not entirely sure many people on here are capable of holding an impartial view on anything.

As for the bather, it's a fun game to go up against someone who fancies themselves as an intellectual. So I'll let you have that one

Its more about efficiency Martin.

Its a lot faster to type "scum" than to type much of what follows (from the Oxford English Dictionary)

scum

noun

it is important that the scum on the surface is not disturbed

film, layer, covering, froth, foam, suds, dross, dirt

2 informal

the glorious traditions of the Service meant nothing to scum like that

despicable person/people
, rabble, riff-raff, refuse, garbage, trash, vermin, good-for-nothing(s), undesirable(s), the lowest of the low, the dregs of society; Britishtrog(s) informal dirt, dirty dog(s), rat(s), louse(s), toad(s), worm(s), scumbag(s), crud(s), cur(s), no-good(s)

Is this gonna be the new feminine 'personal topiary' request... "I'd like a Gaza, please."

Most of the bombing is taking place on the outskirts near the border (I checked the satelite maps). This is where the tunnels are and the rocket launch sites, plus Hamas hide rockets nearby in buildings like schools.

If you listen to western media you'd believe that the whole of Gaza City is subject to some scorched earth policy though.
