Really? I was looking at this car at the same time as I got my hawk.
I didn't view the car and glad i didn't if the above is correct.
Fair play for being honest, I just gone by what I've read.

Buyer beware buddy. But wasted 2 trips for me going to see it. Was raining on the first so couldnt really check body work. Drove fine though. My concern was if the body work was poorly looked after and the seller "was unaware" of what i saw within a few minutes how r they going to look after a highly tuned motor? Best to walk away. Did not post at the time as got nothing against the seller. But this in not the current sellers add.

isnt the orange peel effect on the bottom of the doors a layer of stone chip resistant paint?

Have had to create a new account as my old one won't let me reply at all. This is my old advert, car was sold for what seems like a very cheap price, seeing the price it is on now.

"isnt the orange peel effect on the bottom of the doors a layer of stone chip resistant paint?"

Yes it is

Kirk sorry mate but the whole bottom part of the car is exactly for that - after you left i spoke to my friend who sprays for a living, and also showed the new buyer of the car and he said the same. It is there to protect it from chips - as i told you here go and check other cars out instead of making it out to be an issue!

"My concern was if the body work was poorly looked after and the seller "was unaware" of what i saw within a few minutes how r they going to look after a highly tuned motor?"

The body work was not poorly looked after at all - get a grip - lol, i bought it like this and was going to get the arch done if i was to keep it, as stated in the advert - it would cost no more then £100 to get it sorted not a huge issue. Also in the short time i had the car it was serviced even though i had done such low mileage and the books of service receipts show it was serviced every 3000 miles!

Kirk not to impressed to be honest with your comments on here - i also spent time letting you take the car out etc and drive it, which i was not to happy about. So to come on here and spout rubbish is not to nice to be honest at all.

Hope this clears it up a little bit and as stated if the new owners circumstances have changed then good luck with the sale of a clean, quick, and well maintained car. If they make some money then great, i under priced it in my opinon for a quick sale.

remembering that the car is over 7 years old the paintwork is not going to be immaculate, its not a 1.0 fiesta its a car that that begs to be driven so stone chips are going to happen. if the rear arch is a problem it can be sorted easily as were the couple of running issues that car had that i noticed on the long drive home, thanks to simon JGM few wise words and it was solved easily. the car is a credit to Paul the original owner and also to Ross for keeping it so clean.

the car could have be sold to everyone's favourite performance centre and you could have been looking at an advert on ebay for 17-18k.

rb320's are still fetching over 18k yes they are rare but so are white hawkeyes, even rarer to have had so much money ploughed into the performance so if you don't think its worth the money "in your opinion", look else where.

i have the car priced at 16k yes, do i expect to 16k for it no, i expect someone to make me an sensible offer on the car.

as mentioned before if it doesn't sell it will go in my garage and I will use it as an when.

Hi Jamie,

Sorry to hear that you're selling it mate - why so soon; hope all is well!

I'm kind of reluctant to comment on the paintwork of the car as I know adjectives get thrown around very freely and paintwork condition is a subjective thing. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.

When I sold the car to Ross, I was very clear in the advert that there were blemishes and that it wasn't a concurs presentation standard car that lived in a garage day and night, but rather one that was used and had body work comensurate with that. I would stand by my opinion that is is a gorgeous and rare car with some minor cosmetic blemishes that were someone to be so inclined, could sort relatively easily and inexpensively. I guess the fact that Ross purchased it off me and you purchased off him is testament to that!

The last thing that anyone should be in any doubt of, however, is the mechanical condition and maintenance of that car. There is an A4 binder packed full of servicing receipts and parts bills. I spared no expense on it and looked after it meticulously. Two independent Impreza garages referred to it as "about as good as road going Impreza's get".

I spent well into the 5 figure range on that car; I loved it to bits. Indeed, the only reason I sold it was because with a new house, I couldn't justify spending the amount of money on the car that I had previously lavished on it. I'm a firm believer in looking after nice things!

The spec is exacty right for a car of it's power; the engine comes from APi and is over-specified for the level, the brakes are the finest money can buy and the suspension is more than a match for the power.

I would really like see this go to a good home.

Best

Paul
