Was certainly eventful. Lewis lucked out with that result. First collision he should have yielded - 2nd was a lock up you could clearly see him steering away from Danny Ric so was unlucky to get the penalty. Unlike Maldonado who never changed steering angle.
Rosberg blaming DR but I agree with Brundle - he tried to shut him out and backfired. DR was already on the rumble strip so had nowhere else to go.
Its great to see the proper marques doing well. What a race for Lewis to clinch the title, it definitely seemed to be a race of those that have, and those that don't in terms of having the skill to deal with challenging conditions.
To be fair the first corner 'incident' didn't lose him the race, the last safety care didnt help but him choking under the pressure yet again is what really did it. Monza 2014 anyone?
couldn't agree more. The rest of the season will be interesting. With both wrapped up for Merc its no holds barred now
After his episode of hat-tossing petulance, and the public display of sour faced refusal to join in the podium champagne swilling, Rosberg will have to watch how he behaves on track. Any overtly agressive moves towards Lewis will only serve to enforce his 'brat' image that has appeared since the Monaco incident last year.
He will only enhance his image by beating Lewis fair and square on a regular basis.
And I can't see that happening any time soon
You can't really argue with the outcome. Rosberg has had equal access to (in your words) the best machine for two years, and might not even finish 2nd best to Hamilton. So that would seem to cast doubt on the machine being the overwhelming influence your comment would appear to indicate.
Each to their own though.
