Yeah it was a brilliant day
Simon fitted the new Alcatek and mapped it with anti lag/ launch control, that guy is a wizard with ecu's !

And it made

369.4 on v power

And

401.5 on v power + 20% meths

Drives like a completely different animal on meths , the torque is incredible mid range !

Is there any particular reason you guys all end up at SRR with Simon? I'm hopefully going to have him map my hawk sometime in the nearish future but was going to use to dyno at Subaru4u in Newbury.

Convenience mainly, but Charlie's dyno is regarded as giving the most consistent results. I personally use FB tuning but plenty of the other locals have used Simon.

Hi I live in Thatcham and had my Turbo 2000 mapped by JGM at S4U about 2 years ago.

Car has now covered about 125k miles and is still going really well. Really noticed the difference after the mapping! You wont be disappointed.

Just gotta save the pennies for a bigger turbo now before i get another remap

Fair enough, i'm near as dammit hafway between SRR and S4U. So it's ultimately a question of money and the Saturday £40 power runs SRR offer could sway it.

Just that Simon could fit ours in quicker at SRR. Get it done, you won't be disappointed

I've seen a 64 reg black saloon twice this week on Kentwood Hill. Looks much better than the last shape.

Oh well, I waved at one yesterday and then realised I wasn't driving the Scooby (duh). It's probably the weather bringing them out.....can't beat a Scooby in the wet Been driving my RWD 350z this week with unintentional drifting and clenched bum cheeks lol Think I'll take the Scooby to work tomorrow......pretend I'm practicing for the Tempest Rally hehe

Did actually drive up and down Kentwood Hill yesterday in the hope of spotting it, but alas no joy......did have a nose around the new shape at a car show recently though and was mighty impressed and also noted a lot of the interior was still the same (11 yrs on) lol

And that's why I love the fact they've opened Whitchurch bridge. Although there is a wicked lil stretch of road out towards Burghfield which could easily be an alpine pass.

Japmeet is on tomorrow night if anyone fancies it. There's quite a few that always go from our local club.
