Maybe.... it's the Subaru dealership upgrade option. Overpriced but looks nice and works well. Working v often in central London I had to have it. Daily driver

The satnav unit isn't anything to do with a levorg.
I asked Subaru for a starlink upgrade for the WRX STI & there was not one present at the time, So me being me I had done testing prior to this revelation & fitted the Accessory option from the new Subaru forester with 100% success ratio.

Fair enough.

Reason I ask is because the Levorg has a different StarLink unit with the memory card slot in the front too, no?

So was this just an additional unit that you plugged in, Rob?

Pearlescent white owners, how is the front of yours fairing? My front bumper is peppered in small chips only after 10K, what do you reckon on a chipkit like the drcolorchip kits? rather than a respray of the whole bumper. I've used one years ago and the paint match wasn't very good, but now they use the car's paint code instead.

I would get it resprayed. Use a good body shop and the quality of lacquer they use might prevent more stone chips occurring if it's stronger quality.

When I brought my crystal white home from the dealer I sealed the whole car with Wolf's chemicals nano body sealant. It forms a layer over the paint that helps prevent scratches. I used about 4 layers on the front. Whether or not it's helping prevent stone chips at all I don't know, but I don't have a single stone chip on the car anywhere in 2000 miles. That's with daily driving, driving holidays, country lanes etc.

Yea mine was the same and mint after 2K as well, it gets worse trust me. A body sealant won't stop chipping unfortunately. I think i'll try one of these kits as they seem to get half decent results as i cant quite justify a full bumper respray yet and the kits are only £50. Then maybe respray it in the future and get some film protection for the front.

Generally you have to have the whole front end done. If they touch the bonnet its got to be sprayed into the wings too or there will be a colour difference. Bumper by itself is fine. If you had the first 2k miles with no stone chips then all of a sudden they began appearing I'd go back to driving the way you did in the first 2k miles

Yea i know, its only the bumper that needs attention.

Season changes made the difference Staccato with wet roads more debris gets chucked up from the cars in front, nothing to do with my driving style lol.

Not sure if this is of any help at all but here's link to a quick rev on the performance exhaust option that's been on this car from new.
It's a little noisy to drive but still wouldn't describe as being as noisy as the 2013 driving experience.
I looked at this car alongside a completely standard basic car the same age and couldn't hear the standard exhaust revving against the performance one ticking over parked next to it - not saying that the louder exhaust is rudely loud because it isn't; more that the standard one is rudely quiet to call itself a WRX!
(Please excuse the grinning idiot behind the wheel - she'd only been home 24hrs at this point so I was continuing the 'little girl in a sweet shop' experience.)

That sounds rather good for the performance option from the dealer!

You think? - I was sceptical but sold as original one on it and having had a look under the back all the joins look well instated like they could easily have been since new. Annoying bit is that I'm going on his word and the look of the joins - didn't come with original purchase paperwork regarding spec

Put my order in for one of a six car production run of the new 2017MY car last week. Told to expect a couple of months wait for it to be delivered and the wait is killing me already..

Is anyone here familiar with the genuine STI splitters and trims? Should these be available as a dealer fit item? Ive asked my dealer about it but he isnt familiar with them and when he had a look in the catalogue all he could see was the rear bumper under trim.

Production for the following year always starts sept if I recall, no real changes I wouldn't think, I could be wrong but I'll be interested to see as I've heard nothing...

if its any consolation I've just waited 6 months for a special order build which arrived with me on Thursday so two months will be a breeze.

Ive got the full lower line lip kit for my new one & a whole host of other goodies from japan through Subaru uk to go on. Tell your dealer to look on the dealer extranet..

As I understand it there are 3 changes to what's classed as the '2017' Sti. Revised door seal on b pillar to reduce road and wind noise, auto lights and rain sensing wipers and blind spot indicators on the glass of the wing mirrors - just a little amber light that flashes up when someone's in your blind spot.

Ah ok. My April 2016 has the auto windows all round and the STARLINK audio system so that must have been introduced a while back. Not sure what the trim changes are. Mine was April registration so build date was even earlier than that

I'm comparing my new one to my old 15 reg which had non of the above lol
So looks to be similar spec to yours in that case.

Changes are small as I understand it. Lights, windows, starlink gets an upgrade and most importantly - what you've all been waiting for - new material for the headliner.

I went for WR Blue. Cliche I know but it had to be for my first Scoob.

Will tell the dealer to scout the extranet, cheers.

Be interested to know how the new Starlink works and if the software can be updated on existing models.

Awesome colour. I'm falling in love with the ice silver colour too. I've got crystal white pearl.

What goodies have you ordered to go with it?
