It's not just about oil though, infrastructure, roads, sewers, water, electricity, communications, education and all the materials that go hand in hand with rebuilding a place that has had a gazzillion tons of bombs dropped on it is worth more than the oil, and where does that money come from and go to.

I do however think there is a group of people who have a very strong influence over world affairs and make a considerable profit from such situations, who they are I have no Idea and I genuinely don't want to know.

That right there (highlighted) is exactly why Saudi Arabia is ignored. For all of its social backwardness, and the many imperfections in its civil and legal systems, as a country overall it does just get on with life, and more to the point it isn't used as a base from which Jihadis or other armed groups storm into neighbouring countries in droves, nor does its internal security situation bear even a passing resemblance to a state of ongoing civil war. The day either of those two things change, I'm sure there's a very real likelihood you would hear a lot more about the place on the evening news. Until then, why would you expect anything other than business as usual?

Alan Henning has now been executed. Although i back the bombing 110% on ISIS, the biggest sin will be if this "Jihadi John" is blown to bits by one of them. If ever somebody needs caught and brought to justice it's this excuse for a human.

Sad for a man who only meant to selflessly help the unfortunate.
Sad also because more innocents will die during the inevitable onslaught from the coalition, even more so when the next American hostage is murdered.
