I'll have a look at some routes and see what you guys fancy. I'm thinking head out around the Dengie and then out through Maldon towards Colchester/Suffolk direction?

Any thoughts?

Decision should be helped by the regularity of the pub meet..........only helped mind you! I will probably do the 28th.

Sorry, I've had a bit of a sugar-overload this afternoon I think I'm starting to crash now though...thank goodness! I'll be asleep within the hour!

Frayz, are we still aiming to meet up at The Rodney before we set off? (If that's OK with Paul of course)

Aah, the Dengie, my daily commute. I always get to where locals call 'Fish Hill',on account of the fish van that frequents the most dangerous corner in Essex, to see the next accident that happens at least once a fortnight and causes chaos all round. 'Tis a very dangerous area , but driving the Burnham bends is quite a hoot......

My Dad also had a GT back in the day John, he spent most of his spare time painting the 'Lotus' green stripes on non-Lotus Cortina's, made a fortune out of it!

21st of June sounds good to me for a drive, is it a Scoob day or a French fancy day Frayz??

If it's French I'll make sure I clean the berlingo!
Zo has gone quiet, obviously the sugar has worn off.

I'm happy with either. I wouldn't be quicker in the Impreza anyway. However this started out as a day to go for a drive in the Subarus. So I think we should take them.

How about 22nd June or another Saturday so it don't conflict with the Charity Brighton Run.

I would like to to meet up for for this drive out

Sunday 22nd can be done if people want.
I'm also pretty sure this won't be the only drive out. It's something that could be a regular thing if it's a success.
So plenty of other drives for you to join Ron.

Default Morning!!

I'm back from my sugar-downer lol

That was probably one of the best nights sleep I've had in ages. I should get that hyper more often! Tuckered myself out with it all!

Now where we we- Ah yes, on a mission to get to Page 5. haha

Only kidding...

22nd of June sounds good to me! I'm guessing the pub meet would still be held the following week too? If so, that would be good, 2 weekends of Subaru-fun in the Sun! >weather permitting<

Speaking of which, would I be right in assuming this depends somewhat on the weather on the 22nd?
Although cars are waterproof, no one likes driving in torrential rain..a cruise in the sunshine sounds appealing, splashing around in heavy rainy roads which could be harboring all manner of hidden potholes and the likes-nnnnnot so much lol

I'm not saying we should call it off on the sight of a cloud, but I think there should be a cut-off point should it be particularly bad. Anyone agree?

...or am I just being boring..?

Haha. Sorry if that sounded blunt.
I mean I can't be arsed to clean a black car after driving it in the rain.

Lol I can relate to you in that respect anyway- I cant be arsed to clean a black car full stop!

When its dirty-it looks dirty, when I clean it-it looks dirty, when its sunny-it goes dusty and therefore dirty and when it rains it washes all the dust off but then dries dirty.

The woes of owning a black car! Thats why I want a white one next! The way I see it, it can't be any worse! At least it'll look clean some of the time

...and failing that, I'll just park next to Dan heehee

>oh no she di-ent<

Apologies, i forgot that on the 22nd i have my nephews b'day party on that day.
And that was moved by my sister, as i said i couldn't make it on the 21st due to Brighton Run.
So my bad ! Forget i mentioned anything.
I'll make it to a pub meet soon now life is returning back to some normality
