I almost fitted one of the really early ones to my car, but, chose the V3/4 instead.

Keep hold of the boot lid, as you'll know, they are very hard to find.

Ok so I've been a bit fed up and down hearted with how the car looks and the fact it's in bits and I haven't even driven it since I bought it!!! 😥

So decided to get up and running whilst I complete the remaining bits of the Sti engine build for it so I can at least take it out now and again, it still ran and drive fine despite the crank bearing issue and obviously I'm not too concerned if it blows up on me! Might keep me interesed in it and not as tempted to sell! 😱

To get it up and running, I ordered a nice new apexi induction kit and set about fitting that along with removing the top mount and plumbing up the front mount. Please ignore the alloy pipes and blue hoses, this is just a temp set up till it goes reversed with the new engine...

So front end stripped and old top mount removed, I forgot what a ball ache these things are to fit and just how much work is required!..

All fitted, for now, but need another section of hose for the manifold section of pipe work...

Re fitted some of the new bling too...

Not too bad, for now anyway.

Plus managed to repaint the alternator covers...

Few more bits to do then at least I can drive it! Ha

I would recommend insulating the pipework that goes above the battery!

Cheers Tim, but need a trip to the silicon hose place anyway to replace all the cheap blue hoses that came with the cooler!

Well my plan to actually drive the car isn't going too well! I wasn't happy with the wheels set number 3 plus they wouldn't clear the willwood callipers I have to go on so decided to sell the ultralite alloys, they sold straight away, only problem is I have nothing to repace them with...

So now I need some new ones!. Decisions decisions, what to get????

Think it can only be millenniums or XXR 527!

Suppose i will find out soon enough, should have em wednesday, if so, they are going to have to go light gunmetal or maybe even bronze!

My wallets taken another beating this week as the parts list grows...

60mm oil pressure and oil temp gauges...

Air fuel ratio gauge with a custom dash air vent pod, pod is for facelift dash so no good to me but came with gauge...

Reverse carbon bonnet scoop, Laquer has faided in places but I plan to paint it body colour anyway...

And finally, and by far the biggest dint in my wallet, these beauty's all wrapped up in Bridgestone re070's!...

Had to try them straight on!, I love the wheels but hate the colour! ...

Plus, think due to the tyre size (225/45/17) I'm gonna have some arch issues!
