It's not about cutting loose though is it pete, I'd have thought that a man of your years and intellect would be able to grasp the fact that this aspect of their policy is just about paying lip service to the current popularist band wagon point of view.
As Jacko says it's a watered down for public consumption version of the BNP, but much like your chosen party and the unions, once in power they will have to pay the piper and homage to the party faithful / BNP or National Front or whatever name the racist change to. oh yeah could that be UKIP.
I find it quite amusing that he has a German wife and wants to kick out foreigners or at least stop them coming here, if that doesn't tell you he's a man of double standards then nothing will.
As for the hitler thing, point being it's the thin edge of the wedge after a few years in power it would be like the arien race situation where only PURE BLOOD ENGLISH MEN were welcome here, can you imagine how they would look? pop down to your local council estate and look for the goofy looking big eared 6 fingered webbed feet inbreds that can barely string a coherent sentence together, Burberry baseball cap and can of tennants is also a bit of a give away.

UKIP aren't racist. They would prefer to be able to select who arrives here with a work permit. Like the USA and Canada, and Australia, New Zealand etc. etc. They only get called racist by either those who have something to gain from uncontrolled immigration (Labour) or those who have something to lose from UKIP's popularity (Tories).
But guess we will know when it comes to vote time,who is going to have the B0ll0cks to stand by what they say..I'm laughing already

And Clegg has been caught out doing the latter.......got power and has had to go back on so many promises it will probably cost him his seat, unless they move him to a nice, safe seat.

Not sure people think UKIP are the answer but maybe wiling to give something new a try. I suspect its just a case of the best of a bad bunch. There are some very successful places in the world that have strict broader control. Australia/new Zealand /Canada etc and they all manage to trade very well with neighboring country's . I don't know the answer myself but I do know its not a easy one. I also know that people by nature are scared of change and the un known and it can effect there judgment . The world used to be flat don't you know.

I see the latest poll puts UKIP ahead of Labour by a couple of points ..... the Tories and the LibDems are so far behind it's laughable
UKIP are, without doubt, going to bring down the Tories ..... Labour don't have to do a thing to win power.
