No offence but you come across as the usual text special tyre kicker. Genuine buyers turn up with cash and inspect the car rather than asking loads of questions via pm's. So many people do this, arrange to view/buy then make up an excuse blah blah....... And never turn up. Seller did nothing wrong cash is king

no offence taken as you obviously don't know me.. ive sold cars and parts on here with no issues..ive bought parts on here with no issues. im far from a tyre kicker.. if a car is described to me then ide expect it to be as described that's why I ask question via pm direct to the seller/buyer i want to be sure the car is what im after theres nothing wrong with and neither would i have a problem with answering as many questions as it takes for the potential buyer to be satisfied. ive never arranged to buy/sell and not turn up. have a look back over my 10000 posts and youll see if im genuine or not. as I can see you joined in 2005 but to be honest ive never heard of you so for you to judge me is a bit much. if it was possible to view/buy the car this weekend i would have done just that..again, terms were discussed between us which is why i didn't travel to view the car..simple as that..

I paid £50 non refundable holding fee for a car bought recently (I insisted) because it was a 8 hr round trip and I couldn't just drop everything and go, was £3k under the market value and don't come up often.
Just till I got the time to have a proper luck and if I didn't want it then seller keeps the £50 for loosing a chance for others to come and view.
I'd been looking for a couple of months for the right one and did everything I could to hold it.

Just an example of what you should of done as not everybody's the same.

I feel for you Powerwrx as I know your genuine and now you've explained yourself with regards to dodgy sellers I fully understand your cautious approach, unfortunately this time it cost you a car that you wanted.

No I didn't buy it, I wouldn't do a thing like that even if I was interested as i'm a man of principles and honour as I believe it's all one has in reality. I was just phishing and caught a couple too.

I'm sure another one will come along and be even better, fate has taken a hand in this situation and I always like to think these things happen for a reason, so chin up buddy the right car is out there waiting for you.

I know what your saying as it did 'seem' he was entertains it without confirming.

Hence why my message said, 'you' must bring it up to secure for your own piece of mind.
If something rare and priced good, then it's obvious there's going to be a lot of intrest and maybe a bidding war, but a holding deposit kind of eliminates all that.
Like I said everyone's different and all I'm saying is you should of brought it up, but you was too trusting and got wires slightly crossed.
To me it was obvious you was arranging a meet, but I think your uber fussiness would of thought I'm going to waste my time here.

Maybe u should have taken his number, called him, discussed it, confirmed a viewing rather than pm's. Had loads of similar experiences trying to sell a few scoobs over the years and usually the ones that pm and text all the time never buy the car. Anyway iv never heard of u either so what?

What a stunning motor.

Just love the 4d classic shape Impreza's.

Been looking at RB5 but after reading a lot of posts on here I seem to be going down the wrong track.

I will learn
