Well I did a bit of research myself after asking the question... Good luck freezing PG as it's used in bio friendly antifreeze as is VG in some applications... PG good for a couple of years at least and VG possibly longer... biggest factors seem to be light and temperature.. as in it needs to be kept in the dark and at a constant temp.
My reason for asking is... I think they shall be no doubt taxing it for our application at some point in the not too distant future, as well as making it more difficult for joe public to get his hands on/ control quantities... no doubt linked to some sort of terrorism legislation.

Anyone follow the budget? BBC said there would possibly be taxes on e-cigs introduced. Which wasn't the case, we got missed out, for now.
So **** the *** licking gov BBC for scaremongering, they did their bit, planted a seed for the future, slyly getting it into the viewer's subconscious so they can pounce with the tax and use anti vape "arguments"

Well I would have been recommending my Smok Alien... if it hadn't stopped working the other day when I went to change the batteries.
Seems a few have the problem either after being updated or charged... mine was bought from a local vape shop so I think it's legit and not a knock off... but I guess one can never be 100% sure.
3 weeks of use then nothing, there is supposed to be a fix that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but I need windows to do it... my laptop is a macbook air so going to have to wait until i'm in the Uk in a few weeks to give it a go.
Not happy.

Vampire vape are doing a deal on a selection of mods, buy 5 bottles of any 30ml juices for £49 (I think) and get a modbox free,I think some of the mods retail at around £49 so basically you're getting 5 free bottle of juice when you buy a mod.

Sorry to hear ditchy, long story short it happened to an older x cube 2. Best to avoid the software updates as can cause issues. I am sure they can be sorted though, try re-doing the firmware with button held down. Also make double sure the firmware is correctly set up as it is not a case of plug n click OK. It is a pita to be frank, not user friendly.
Try again, worse case return for another and dont do any updates.

The firmware update isn't too bad, you just have to get the right file for your model and follow the instructions, there's a config 1: number that must be "00013000" before you update, make sure its that before you do it, sometimes you have to select "on chip" or something similar to change it, I've done an upgrade without issue on my alien.

Thanks guys... I'm a bit gutted as I really like the mod
I didn't actually try and do an upgrade, all I did was take the batteries out to put some fresh ones in as i'd been out using it all day, stuck fresh ones in and blank screen... so double checked i'd put them in right... which I had, and that they were charged... still nothing... old ones back in again... nothing.
Looked on the internet and it would appear I'm not alone... one geezer had a vid up and said it was a fix for my issue (sometimes) but like I said, I don't have windows... and don't want it on my lap top either... but that's another story
Think I'll just take it back to the shop and get something else... shame though as I really like it.

If your after a new mod take a look at the Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3, you can get one for between £40 and £50. It's basically 2 mods in one, you can run it as a 2 battery setup or a 3 battery setup. It goes upto 200W and is fully firmware upgradeable.
I've had mine for a good few months now and i've been more than happy with it, it sits great in your hand. It's worth checking out.

Yes as bio says, check all contact points, the upper contacts and on the door part. It should come up with alien straight away before needing the 5 quick presses to turn on. Maybe a contact up top inside , see if all looks well and the button contacts are fine. A q tip(ear bud) alcohol, clean all 4 contacts, never know!

Nice, I love free stuff.
I went out and got myself a Kanger Protank 4 on sunday to replace the subox mini tank I broke... top side fill, rba and drip tip air holes which is a nice feature for chain vaping as it keeps the tip cool...been using the mini tfv8 on my subox mini mod as my daily / work vape but it uses so much juice and battery power that it was a pain topping up and changing batteries... also managed to break the glass on it so took that as a sign that I need to sort something else.
Still impressed by the Kanger subox mod and kanger in general, just does what it says on the tin and keeps doing it... nothing fancy, no big clouds or massive flavour hit... but to be honest neither are really my thing anyway as I don't like really strong flavours and the big clouds are a pain.
I just like the no fuss vaping... has made me get back into my pipe mod a bit more in the evenings though, which is good as I wasn't using it much and kind of forgot how much I like it.

Long time no post-vapemail bargain plus have around 3.25 litres of vg nic from darkstar at £30 a litre just in case the new regs get heavily enforced-think I'm sorted for the next few years.
currently running 3 crown tanks on high vg so no leaks etc-is the cloudbeast that much better? Temptation etc etc
cheers Richie

Nice win bio
Nice big tank, just what I'm after, this rba on the big baby is doing my nut in!
Fecking tiny and a mare to build on.
I did originally order the wrong rba so have a tfv8 one in the draw.
Thinking about going for the OBS V tank,I rated the v3 and still use it but want something bigge, the new OBS also takes the tfv8 coils so I should be able to use the rba I got

Nice price for the kbox200,I've had mine ages now and works well, only downside is the paint doesn't take long to start flaking off,my red Kbox is now a chrome(ish) Kbox.
Also stocked up on nic, around £16/ltr from vapeinc with the discount code.
