I've ordered a Wismec RX200S, i'd thought about one in the past but went for the Kanger TopBox mini instead, the only down side with the Kanger is it's a single 18650 and it won't get you through the day without needing a charge. I just like to be out and not having any thoughts that the battery may run out.

Yep but depends on how much you vape, a single 18650 lasts me a whole day.

Some batteries as you know, even the same model from the same manufacturer can vary so much in how long they last. I've got 2 Samsung 30Q batteries here, one lasts noticeably longer than the other and they were bought at the same time. It's like atomisers, some last longer than others, things are so mass produced now that the tolerances from one to another can vary so much.

The Wismec mod arrived the other day, first thing i noticed when i held it is that it's big, very big lol ... I knew that anyway before ordering, i'm sure it will feel normal after a while just like the Kanger TopBox mini did after a while as i thought that was big when i first held it compared to my previous pen type e-cig. A few pics below, you'll get the idea of the size next to the TopBox mini.

Yeh it sure is lol, after a couple of days it's starting to feel normal now, it's just the first few times of using it feels huge but it doesn't take long for it to feel normal. It's like when you go from a small phone to a big phone for the first time, they feel huge but it feels normal to you after a while.

I feel i have the best of both worlds now, i'll use the Wismec one when i know i'll be out for a fair while where i won't have to think about battery life, i'll use the Kanger at home and when the Wismec batteries are on charge.

I vape at 34W, i use approx 4ml of fluid a day, these bigger tanks like the Uwell Crown tank drink fluid for fun. The fluid i use varies from 70/30 PG to 80/20PG, i use the Samsung 18650 30Q batteries.

20 watts here and probably 5ml or a bit more a day. I had some LG yellow battery before and it only lasted a few hours.

Inhaling. VG and PG are pretty well known, food flavouring could be anything but at the end of the day inhaling actual smoke is definitely a lot worse. In evidence I present my current health, which is 110% better than 2 years ago.

The quality control and tolerances on vaping stuff like batteries and atomisers seems to be pretty much none existent as you have probably found out yourself, you can get 2 exact model batteries made by the same manufacturer where one battery can last a lot longer than the other. It's the same with atomisers, some last a lot longer than others even if they have come out of the same pack. I've had it with tanks where some leak and other people have reported the same leaking issues but other people can have a leak free experience with the same tank and atomiser setup.

It seems to be a lot of hit and miss, you just need to get lucky every now and then.

We don't smoke anything! You can inhale or choose not to. A lot of vapers don't inhale and get their nicotine intake through the nose or mouth.

There isn't any regulation currently, although that is likely to change. Most vendors have to pass certain checks obviously, in the US most are checked by the FDA before they are allowed to trade.

Having said that it's common sense to make sure you pick the right products from the right vendors and to do your research into the elements that makeup e-juice before you start vaping. I wouldn't touch anything direct from China.

For example i make my own e-juice. I only buy from reputable US or UK companies that state exactly what elements are in their flavourings. The other elements PG and VG are additives and harmless.

42.5W 0.25ohm and 4ml in 1-2 days usually. One 30Q sammy batt lasts 1-2 days for me.

That's an open ended question and depends on so many things.

But in my case massively cheaper especially if you make up your own e-juice. It's still cheaper even if you buy retail e-juice, once you have paid off the initial cost for the device of course.

Can a mod influence the quality of a vape ?

The reason i ask is i've changed to the Wismec Mod and i can't quite put my finger on it but the vape seems far better and more consistent so far, compared to the Kanger TopBox mini the Wismec seems to fire instantly with no lag, the Kanger seems to have a delay before it fires.

It just seems to be a stronger, better and more consistent vape what i'm getting at the min. I'm using a Uwell Crown tank with a 0.25ohm atomiser which is being run at 34w, the same settings as i used on the kanger.

I doubt it, all the mod does is fire the atomizer, as you know what distinguishes one mod to another is how much wattage you can pump out of it and the features/what type of coils it can fire. My kanger kbox mini doesn't lag at all when fired, maybe yours wasn't providing the watts indicated?

Or probably just the placebo effect of having a shiny new Wismec

It almost certainly will have a better ramp up time, whether you can detect that in flavour is another kettle of fish.

I'm at around £1 per week but I make my own juice and I don't use nicotine which is expensive by comparison to PG and VG that's vaping 2 tanks on my top box mini a day so around 8ml and I don't think that's a lot, less than a 20 a day habit on the stinkies.

I've decided to have a change of plan, i'm going to sell the Wismec RX200S which is a fantastic mod and go for the Wismec RX2/3.

The RX200S is probably too big for my day to day vaping, the RX2/3 which they have just released would give me the best of both worlds, it will allow me to run a 2 battery setup so obviously it would be smaller in the hand but also if i need it i could run a 3 battery setup with the changeable battery door that allows the 3rd battery.

My Kanger topbox mini also lags when fired up, the kbox it replaced didn't used to. Currently running at 20watts.

Maybe it needs a remap?

I'm enjoying using the RX2/3, it's basically the newer and slimmer version of the RX200S. It's like having 2 mods in one, you can have a slim 2 battery setup or a 3 battery setup which is great if your going to be away from a charger for a fair while.

You can see from the 2nd pic how much slimmer it is in the 2 battery setup compared to the RX200S.

Bio, this is mainly for you.

Do you remember when you recommended the Uwell Crown tank, and i was having problems with it flooding into the air valve when i was using it on the Kanger TopBox mini ?

I've been using this Wismec RX2/3 mod for around 5 days now, so i've not had a single bit of fluid leaking anywhere from the Uwell Crown tank. I took the atomiser out yesterday for a quick clean and a check and their wasn't a drop of e juice anywhere, if i'd have still been using the Kanger TopBox mini i'd have had fluid in the air valve without any question, it would have leaked out of the air holes onto my fingers and onto the mod as quite a bit of fluid was getting in.

Going off that i'd say that the Kanger TopBox mini isn't sending enough power and heat through the coil so the the fluid isn't burning as it should and naturally the excess that hasn't burnt off is leaking into the bottom of the air valve. Their could be quite a lot of fluid in their as well, i always felt with the kanger mod that the vape was a bit lumpey and gurgley and their was a lag as well before it fired. The Wismec in comparison seems instant and you can deffo notice the power difference from the button as it feels smoother and more powerful with no lag, i'm using the wismec at the same 34w as the Kanger.

Yea that makes sense i guess, i've always vaped at 40W+ maybe that made the difference between it leaking or not? Although my mod is slightly different to your previous topbox mini.

Hi,can anyone recommend an ejuice that is tobacco flavoured?
It can be a pre-made one or a concentrate to mix my own.

Also advice on a small mod/tank set-up,preferably a single battery cell mod which is not a box shaped and uses a replaceable 18650 or the smaller type cell.

Cheers
Rich

Dunno mate can't stand the baccy flavoured ones.

As for a small modboxes there are new ones out from Smok and Innokin which are decent. Tanks from the same supplier. I would go for the Smok personally.

Slightly bigger but still a small form factor;

oh not box shaped that limits your choices unfortunately.

Have a look through the above, page 2 onwards.
