Cheers Bio, i'll be placing an order tomorrow.

I may look into making my own liquid at some point, what would 20ml cost roughly if you made it yourself, just comparing with what the retailers sell it for.

Short device is much better in the pocket.

Great in the hand too.

Last upgrade a year ago, the iStick/Subtank was a great combo.

Yup, the black didn't last long at all, chrome did better but not much left now. Battery is still very good, not as good as new but it lasts my day of Vaping.

Ni coil set at 205c and 40 watts is pretty good.

Massively cheaper, 20ml for me is ~£2.40 to make up, you can buy;

500ml of PG n VG for a fiver each or premixed for £8
100ml of Nic for a tenner
Flavour concentrates are the most expensive at ~£3-4 for 10ml, but that 10ml of flavouring will go towards and make up 50ml of total e-juice.

Each element lasts ages.

Vaping did help me quit but gave me a worse chest the day after a session than when I was on the tabs. Anyone else find that?

Try a different ratio of VG/PG unless you're allergic Vaping is a lot better for your chest than inhaling smoke.

One quick question about genuine Samsung Batteries, should they come in Samsung branded packaging or at least better packaging than this ? It just surprised me a little that they come in a cheap looking generic type cardboard box. They are SAMSUNG INR18650-30Q 3000MAH from MyEpack.

Jack, is this your new dodgy line as it says to contact you for more information on the box.

Hong Kong phone number, not me. Let me know how you get on with that battery, the one I have is rubbish, not even half a day. Have had these recommended http://myepack.co.uk/lg-inr18650-hg2-20a-3000mah.html

The packaging looks normal to me by the way.

Ah you went for the platinum Rob, good choice Yea the sammy cells come in crappy packaging, nothing to worry about.

Jack, it depends on if you vape a lot per day, then they won't last that long, that's why i always have 2 or more cells on the go. I usually vape in 5-10min sessions 3-4 times a day (more at the weekends), one 18650 sammy 30Q cell lasts a whole day, sometimes 2.

A high discharge 3,000mah battery should last me all day, my iStick still does! The LG 18650 HE4 2500MAH 35AMP I got it known to be a bit **** but I wanted something on the same order as the leak box.

I'll let you know Jack how long the batteries seem to be lasting once i start to use it, i want to find some decent e-fluid to use with this type of tank before i start to use it.

What brands of e-fluid are people using these days, like most people i'm after a good strong flavour with a good hit.

Whats the best ratios to use, is higher in PG the way to go either 70/30 or 80/20 ?

It said that PG gives a better throat hit and carries flavour more effectively, is that wrong then ?

"PG stands for Propylene Glycol, a petroleum by-product. The fluid has no odour or colour, and is less viscous than VG. In vaping it is used to provide a ‘throat hit’, which some users claim is similar to the sensation experienced when smoking tobacco. It also carries flavour more effectively than VG, meaning it’s the most commonly used suspension fluid for flavour concentrates and nicotine."

Rob you'll get the throat hit and flavour anyway with a lower PG than VG because it's a sub-ohm mod, i think you might be surprised how much different it is compared to your previous e-cig. Again it's personal preference but i suggest you experiment with different PG/VG mixes. 50/50 is your best bet to begin with. Most sub ohmers will go for a higher VG for a smoother vape as you get the PG hit regardless.

From that website you linked to;
Sub-Ohm Tanks – These tanks include the Aspire Atlantis and Kanger Subtank among others. They can take a lot more power than standard clearomizers and are designed to deal well with high VG juice.

I'd start getting into mixing asap if I were you especially now you're sub ohming, recent trip to UK saw me get through almost 20 quids worth of bought juice my order of several different concentrates and 300ml of PG (already have VG) that will last me in the region of 6 months cost 40 quid.

No brainer.

What brands of liquids would you recommend to get started with a sub ohm setup, i'll deffo look into making my own at a later date. I just need some pre mixed that i can buy off the shelf to get me going, some flavour suggestions would be good as well.

Grab a selection from here http://www.onepoundeliquid.com get some high VG and some standard, they're not the best on the market but they're cheap and deliver next day, you'll then have a good idea of what you like.

Bubble gum and any of the fruit flavours, butterscotch, butter mint, anything with a custard mix in it and there are other good ones mentioned in this thread already.

Seems crazy that they're introducing steps to make switching more difficult just as they're waking up to the fact that Vaping saves lives.

I'm finally up and running with the Kanger Top Box mini, i had to wait for some 70/30 E-Juice that i'd ordered.

I'm using a brand called of e-juice called Pulp which i think is a new brand to the market which seems to get good reviews, i've never used one of these type of e cig setups before or even had a drag from one. The first thing you deffo notice straight away is the intense flavour compared to a normal pencil type e-cig, the strong flavour is great, i'm using a favour called cafe crem which is really nice.

I've not used it for long enough yet to give a proper opinion but the early impressions are really good, they are way ahead of the pencil type e cig in flavour for sure. The drip tip get's pretty hot, that's something thing i noticed straight away, i'm only using it at 18 watts at the min. It's quite heavy in the hand, heavier than i thought it would be, maybe that's because it's the platinum version which is all metal. Feels nice though, it feels like quality in your hand.

Looking good. All the coffee type flavours I've tried in the past gunked up coils pretty quickly, so bloody tasty though.

My new battery turned up today, so far so good. 2 hours in and still on full bars, the old one only lasted 4 tops. It was from Jack as well.

Looking good mate, told you its a different ball game sub ohming The drip tip "issue" is why i got the uwell crown tank, as it uses quartz glass, so absorbs all the heat. 18W is pretty low, but whatever suits you best.

Still full bars, that last battery was not fit for purpose, I'm sure it's great in a non regulated fog machine, but it was being outperformed by my year old iStick and that's just not right.

My Nebox has leaked once and only a bit, but my mate's having a nightmare and is sending it back. I don't think I could go back to an exposed tank, same as I couldn't go back to a stick style, so fingers crossed mine stays good.

Where' the best place to buy the stuff to make your own? I would rather use one site rather than using loads of different places to get the best deals. The most expensive bit seems to be the flavour

You can get it all including your PG/VG and Nicotine from the below links, i don't know what their flavour concentrates are like though. Prices are good though.

http://www.goforsmoke.com/pg-based--vg-based-60-c.asp

I get the 500ml bottles, £4.50 each
http://www.goforsmoke.com/go4smoke-m...sed-9990-p.asp

Nicotine, I get 100ml VG based 72mg, £12
http://www.goforsmoke.com/100ml-unfl...ine-9812-p.asp

Flavours;
