Took the car to japshow finale, was not keen on running it as A) You only got 4 runs and it was going to be mad busy B) car had a minor coolant leak.
However had some fun on the way down with a C7 RS6, the classic type r was duly saluted by the RS6 driver after being dispatched
Met up with Vee in his MG I mean P1 (had a little play with his launch control on the syvecs and got it running well) and Fud in his mental GTR.
Car was duly booked in with the lads at Richard Henry, as the coolant leak only happened when the car had been stood. As a precaution switched to a hawkeye header tank and they found two leak both fixed and the car is running sweet as ever!
Just to keep the car spec up to date

I can imagine!
Banny, did you NEED the Murray CT clamps on the inlet and outlet of the IC? I.e. would the hoses actually pop off, otherwise?
Or is it a preemptive, "just to be sure", belts and braces exercise?

Belts and braces i inagine, plus they look cool! The lips on the pipe are what stops it blowing apart rather than the tension in the clamp

It probably wont ever see a strip mainly due to the fact that was my aim with the last car, to have a 10secs car which it achieved.
The more I speak to Andy @ RH the more I want to do the harewood hill climb so that is what I will most likely enter
Joz as J put it look cool and covers all bases but neve had any issue with pipes blowing off

Especially with the need of hans devices etc now.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm a Murray clamp purveyor, too!
But only the one: on the turbo comp. outlet spout. With just a normal jubilee, the hose would always be forced off under max boost. Even with the cast retaining lip on the spout, it would still blow off past it! Drove me mad.
But the MCT has totally sorted it.
Just, I haven't the need for them on all the other hoses in my IC setup: jubilees are more than up to the task. But then again, my peak boost is only a momentary 1.5 bar lol.

The 22B sprints have become too expensive, the tracks are geared towards power car (think they were trying to entice the GTR's to enter kerchingggg) and there will still some politics going on.
Thank you, projects are a ball ache but when they come together no feeling like it

Hi banny both me and Andy use Hans because we're in modified production. It's not needed for road going. You do However still need helmet, race suit, race gloves and race boots all of which must be in late and comply with current regs.
Pound for pound 22b sprints are still way better value in terms of track time, just depends what floats your boat, ice enjoyed both

Banny, Thanks for your input and advice over the last few years fella, its really appreciated and its a shame you have sold up, it is a brilliant car and a real credit to you. I just hope this one goes to a better owner than the last one!
