Guess the noise
Right then ladies and gentlemen
After upgrading the calipers and discs on the front of the scoob last month (4pots) the rear sliders decided to clamp its self onto the disc on the drivers side,, so I sourced new age 2 pots and new discs and pads,brackets etc and we fitted them yesterday.
So shook hands and off I went all great for minutes then this whining noise started and got so bad it was droning, BUT when I slightly touch the brake pedal and I mean ever so slightly it disappeared, so back to the garage and took wheel back off calipers and disc checked everything and all looked fine, back on and around the block again but exactly the same, back to garage blah blah blah,, but no signs of any rubbing or scraping so changed the pads to older set incase they were rubbing on the disc but it's still there
Anyone got any ideas?

Make sure the brake calipers are retracting properly. It may be the two pots are sticking.
Are they the OE Classic two pots or the WRX Newage versions? If it's the latter then the backing plates should be removed.

As above, probably backing plate.
I had some head scratching when I replaced rear discs/pads on mine (blob). All seemed free until you tighten the wheel back up and all went solid.
Basically its the rear of the disc catching on the backing plate.
Either a dremel or if push comes to shove you:
a) bang the plate back with a hammer/chisel.
b) run it for a while and let the disc wear away the crap on the backing plate.
Wouldn't suggest 'b' but know people that have without issues.
