Bearing in mind I had ran it at 520bhp no problems at all with the crunch, Paul did the synchro at his first event so I agreed to go halves on the repair with him. What may last indefinitely for one person may have issues much quicker for another depending on use.
To be fair to Gaz, the box doesn't haven't to be stripped to diagnose a dodgy synchro. It's a known fault.

Look, I'm scratching my head here at the this thread. Gaz told Stu about an issue the car had and is now being bashed because a potential buyer swerves Stu for the low down on the car for which is the same info he gave Stu before he bought it.

This really could of gone another direction......The potential buyer doesn't speak with Gaz about the car and goes ahead with the sale. A couple of days into ownership notices the crunch and it spirals from there for Stu not disclosing a problem he was told about when he first bought it.....

Blessing in disguise IMO...

Spouting what???
The truth.
i think the issue here is you thought you would make a quick buck as gaz sold it at a price to reflect the issues and was honest in the sale.
Now you have realised any potential buyer will ask gaz about the car and he will tell them the same he told you and now you won't make a quick buck.

The synchro issue can be resolved yes/no quite easily with a good test drive once things have heated up. If the op says it's not there then he would be a fool to say otherwise as he would look a real idiot if it is there. Have you fixed the suspension issue

Anyone would think the car is fcuked

So........it's a pink spec c
Leaking shocks all round
Sh@gged box
Well hammered .......

Sounds like a car for me

I'm sure any prospective buyer will get a chunk knocked off the price to fix any issues and stu will still earn a drink on it
End of the day gaz sold it for x amount which he was obviously happy with , stu's spent a couple of quid on it and has it advertised for x amount any interested buyer will make a bid reflecting the above.

9k stu

so you started a thread to set us straight that gaz told you backed up by a specialist that there was a synchro issue on the gearbox bearing in mind he owned the car for years.

You disagree there is an issue based on a couple of weeks of ownership but want to sell it.

Then you offer a man the deposit back as there is no issue but maybe there is but you don't won't to look stupid on a forum or something...

Well I've no idea of the point of the thread but one thing is for sure I think you're a bit mental.

Pure madness!

Is this the guy that had a type r up a while back decently modded and had loads of offers but wouldn't let it go for a penny less after months of being advertised?

You have done an honourable thing here op, put your money where your mouth is! There is allot of pathetic folk on here looking to pick on the smallest of things and IMO someone was not happy that you were selling,,,at the end of the day it was your frigging car and you were honest from what I have read here!

And Bustamoves, when you go to sell a car pm me and I will make you a low offer for it,, this forum seems to be full of low ballers who want stuff for nothing!

I see was just trying to confirm it was the same person I was thinking of.
Your car, your choice.

LOL This is like an episode of Eastenders, wide boy buying and selling a duff motor get's caught out. Now I know what's been going on behind the scenes is why it got churned after a short while, is how it looks.

Stu

No matter what you say it looks bad, No mention of gearbox crunch in your add or leaky suspension then you chuck £1500 on top for an oil change and a valet is how it looks pal, you've got to admit it is a bit Cheshire Performance.

Then when it all comes out you go on the offensive blaming making this thread and accusing folks of sabotage because of the green eyed monster.

Then you get caught out and start back peddling.

I'm not saying this is gospel but it is how it looks when it's all written down on the internet.

Life's a b!tch, some you win some you lose.

I'm not giving you **** mate I'm just saying how it looks.

I wouldn't give more than £8k for it but that's just me, I'd want a hell of a lot more car for £13k personally as I know how and what can be built for that sort of money and I don't care what badge it wears.
